The Crosstrek gets that MUCH needed power boost for 2021! Are the extra 30 horses enough to make you reconsider getting one?
ОтветитьKind of funny, this car is even more popular in 2022. With the good gas mileage and decent power with the larger engine and higher gas prices, it is now the top seller for Subaru.
ОтветитьThe one thing I found odd in the premium and the limited is the CD player. Who still uses CDs?
ОтветитьThis is the car I’m thinking of getting when we move to Hawaii, it’ll be great on rough road.
ОтветитьAre there power-folding mirrors in any of the trims?
ОтветитьStop walking. Oh good you stopped walking.
ОтветитьThrow some 33's on there 🔥
ОтветитьThey should have a "offroad" trim with a 1 inch suspension lift and rugged tires with black 15 Inch rims. Also it's kind of a bummer that they don't offer manual transmission with the 2.5
ОтветитьStupid POS cvt Killed The Desire!!!!
ОтветитьSayang disini subaru masih belum kembali, mas Sofyan Bey. Jadi untuk sementara saya masih stuck dengan model 2014 yg lalu.
Ответить8.2s is an improvement? My 4Runner which weighs north of 5000lbs does it in 7.5. Too bad. This car would've otherwise appealed to my wife
ОтветитьI hate cvt mimicking gears, whom I'm i fooling? There r no gears, CVT is fine, no need to mimic
ОтветитьDo all limited versions come with Hammond speakers?
ОтветитьThis vehicle was introduced in 2013.
ОтветитьHalogens generate heat to melt snow and are much more wallet friendly to replace. If you want brighter whiter light there are a plethora of aftermarket bulbs on the market that will achiece this.
I don't understand the power lift gate craze. They are slow and more things to go wrong.
Same with those who cry about power seats.
If you are the only driver how often do you change the seating position once you get it dialed into where you want it?
...and same argument applies in regards to it is much slower and there is more potential for things to go wrong.
What is the color of this car?
ОтветитьI think the 11.6 inch is terrible, no hard buttons and very laggy
ОтветитьPeople are so used to powerful vehicles now. When an adequately powered vehicle comes along it "feels" underpowered.
ОтветитьIn this category is Subaru Crosstrek and Mazda CX30 are the only options to consider, I wouldn't even waste my time looking at Toyotas and Hondas.
ОтветитьIt’s a nice sub-compact SUV but what most people don’t know is that driving a car with a FWD/RWD are fine for winter 🥶 driving too. I’ve been driving my Lincoln TownCar for a couple of years now in winter as well and handles well. Don’t need AWD/4x4 but I’m sure it could be nice peace of mind, although unnecessary. TownCars a low-mileage you can easily buy for $10k and are great for road trips and moves better than most fuel-efficient cars in the city. I’ve got a 2007 taupe Lincoln TownCar, does 239 horsepower can tow 1500 lbs, has a deep trunk, and not as expensive to buy as a new car. Plus, TownCars last easily more than 400,000 kms V8. Very reliable and low cost of ownership 🤔🤔🤔
ОтветитьWhat are your thoughts on CVT? I'm wanting to steer clear of them.
Ответить30Km limit, 60 limit, and somewhere 80..... how fast I can drive? TBH, 2.5 is super enough for me . and I trust the AWD system and eyesight,
ОтветитьI test drove one of these recently. I'm right now torn between this and the Impreza Sport hatchback (in my opinion, the better handling of the Impreza lineup opposed to the other trims). While the Impreza Sport drove close to a low-to-the-ground sports car (just not as fast, but I'm not complaining about that), the Crosstrek Sport had a "dune buggy" feel to it that I did quite enjoy. It would just come down to if I can find a good deal on either a new, certified, or used one, and if I can find them in my area (used Impreza Sport hatchbacks are especially rare in the St. Louis area).
ОтветитьHow are the CVT transmission on these cars
Ответитьis the 2.5L a legacy engine?
ОтветитьWe picked up a Crosstrek Premium recently, and that was after we test drove the Subaru Sport. While the Sport had the 2.5 the one thing we noticed was that the Premium's seats were more comfortable. We couldn't really afford the Limited, and the driver power seat was something that was nicer than having to pump the Sport's seat up or down to adjust it. Since my wife will be driving it more than I will the 2.0 isn't a big deal, where she drives to work it's all back country roads, hardly ever on the highway, and with the "manual" such as it is, when winter comes she can put it in a lower gear to deal with the snow that we get here. All in all for us, the Premium in some cases is a better option.
ОтветитьBeautiful Car.
ОтветитьHey Sofyan, I had been considering the Crosstrek for a couple months. After watching this review I took the leap! I’m now the proud owner of a 2021 Crosstrek Limited and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.. Thanks for another amazing review! 👏🏽👏🏽
ОтветитьThe lack of a manual transmission with the 2.5 liter engine is a non-starter for me. I do not like CVTs at all. It’s a shame because I love everything else about this vehicle.
Ответитьlove this so far - need a video on how to work all the gadgets
ОтветитьFrom dangerously slow to just scary slow.
ОтветитьOMG! Another vehicle with wide cladding?
ОтветитьI thought if you wave your hand over the rear subaru badge, it opens the hatch???
ОтветитьI love your reviews.
I'm surprised that none of the car reviewers mention that Subaru is about the only car manufacturer that still includes a CD player. For us older folks with a lot of CD's that is still a good feature and it'll influence my choice of which vehicle to buy next.
I have the standard 2021 two liter - I find no lack of power at all.
ОтветитьJust bought one on Saturday the Limited it’s awesome
Ответить2.0 manual > 2.5 CVT
ОтветитьLove the car but hate the zillion safety features that cannot be permanently turned off. Would buy one today if not for that.
ОтветитьI like to judge trunk space without having to fold the seats down. I think a trunk should be able to at least hold enough gear for the amount of passengers the vehicle can carry. Yes I understand it's give and take but this trunk is really small. I like to be able to keep my stuff covered amd and out of sight.
The dash, infotainment, climate etc looks dated and sparce and does like a base model car. Probably because of cost savings. Wish it had ventilated seats and a panaramic sunroof also though.
Now if they woulda kept the 18-20 model limited wheels on it. It would’ve been been damn near perfect!
ОтветитьAs an owner of this car (wife's car) and the 2017 Impreza Limited my only complaint is the leather being a bit stiff like sitting ON the seat not in it and my fat a$$ is 230 lbs. They're definitely not Volvo supportive or Outback Touring soft. As far as the paddle-shifters being just there for show? They are great for downshifting. My 2012 Impreza Limited had 82k miles when I sold it and there was still plenty of pad left on the brakes. Other than seats we love the Crosstrek and its overall handling. Love the Redline Reviews
ОтветитьThis is a great video, good camera angles to show the car outside and in, but, breath man, slow down on your descriptions and explanations.
ОтветитьThe 250hp Forester only accounted for 6% of their sales, which is indicative of a lack of desire to put power in any best-sellers, hence the woefully underpowered segment. The Honda HRV is dangerously underpowered & its AWD system is just about useless. In the EU, you can get in my opinion the best CUV on the road - the Audi S-Q3. It's got 350hp and I want it bad.
The Crosstrek is in my sights for a new car soon, but the giveup on power is heartbreaking (I'm in a '16 WRX + CVT now - lol @ CVT I know but it's a city car & the 6spd WRX was the worst manual shifter I ever used except for a Lada in the 80's). I need AWD (Canada) first. The Mazda CX-30GT is a huge move in the right direction, but Mazda, as always, self-sabotages. Door sills up to your shoulders, 0 visibility out the back, super short windshield and cramped back seat - you're in a claustrophobe's nightmare. Plus, if I hear that offensively stupid "zoom zoom" one more time I'm gonna puke.
I might just save up as much as I can this year & get a Tesla 3 with the performance package. If only I could charge it from my apartment building...you need a house to have an electric car these days.
mate good job. Honest review
ОтветитьI know the 2.5L in the Outback was gutless (owned one), hopefully in the lighter Crosstrek it will do better. If Subaru dropped the turbo from the WRX in it, then we'd have something to talk about.
ОтветитьAbout time they powered up the Crosstrek but it's just a vehicle with off-roading capabilities and a crappy CVT. They need to approach the hybrid Crosstrek with this powertrain and then we have something in terms of fuel economy, power, and hopefully better cargo capacity if they can move the battery.
ОтветитьHonestly, I wish they made one without any cladding. Impreza parts, please.
