I understand it’s his mine but hopefully he cuts you in on stuff you’re doing all the work
ОтветитьYou wouldn't catch me down there . you guys have balls of steel . a couple of crazy Canadians . LOL .
ОтветитьNo gloves?
ОтветитьNext time bring a spray bottle with water in it and to keep the dust down.
Ответитьyou'll be amazed how many jeans are still out there. I found 2 jeans from 1899 1902ish on a small mine on my ranch in TX. the rest of my find were canvas overalls and shirts. I made a glass mural of my finds.
ОтветитьWhy don't you wear gloves?
ОтветитьMore like the 6th. and 3/4 pair. How fun to explore. AND FIND!
ОтветитьNot tryin' to sound like your ma, but, you fellers might wanna get you a couple of Dustfoe88 Respirators.(if they still have them) from Mine Safety Appliances, like what we used to wear at San Manuel. Those respirators filter out the tiniest of particles. I don't run around with an oxygen tank at 63 because I always kept mine on, except for lunch. Sadly tho, some of my pals still living in Tucson have some pretty bad lungs and have to carry a little tank with them on occasion. You don't wanna come down with some type of Valley Fever type of virus (I had that while living and working in AZ, awful stuff) that sort of stuff creeps up on ya, especially with the fine dust in those mines in the Southwest.
ОтветитьYou create high quality content that's pretty rare in my view and I enjoy your work. This one being all about the jeans & the rarity I was looking foward to seeing what they looked like, the pattern etc. What we got to see was was crumpled up dusty rags that had no visual value at all , for a clothing item I believe is historically important you did it absolutely no justice at all, where can I see them cleaned so we can actually see them?
ОтветитьWho the heck filming him going down?
ОтветитьI heard on the radio today that a pair of those jeans sold in a auction for $80,000. What a awesome find.
ОтветитьI don't get why you didn't throw two ropes down just in case one broke?
ОтветитьYou should have gotten a brand new pair of Levi's and left a pair down there.
ОтветитьHopefully they left several pairs of brand new Levi's to replace the Levi's they removed so someone 120 years from now can find them.
ОтветитьI wonder if there was a cave in an people got trapped so you just found a dead man's jeans 🤔
ОтветитьWayne Anderson 😎😎😎😎😎
ОтветитьI bet the hole you found with the Levi's was a bathroom! Hints the pants legs missing and socks! I've come back from deer hunting on more than one occasion missing a sock🤣
Ответить“There’s 5 pairs in the world of this vintage. This is in really good condition.”
Tosses ‘em on the ground
“Ooh, look at that, a pair of shoes from the 1870s”
Tosses ‘em on the ground
You fellas definitely deserve something cause not many people on this planet would repell that step drop I had 9 heart attacks watching you guys from my phone lol respect to you guys you are a of a different bread
ОтветитьI would be affraid the atv would slide in on top of me the further you go down the more weight is put on the ancor point
ОтветитьIn case your wondering why the jeans are left there they were uncomfortable work clothing and fairly expensive back in the day. Uncomfortable because they are very tough work wear unlike they new disposable stretchy modern levi jeans. My best guess is that the workers changed when they got into the mine and changed back into their regular clothing when going home.
ОтветитьPlease wear your masks down there dudes! Excellent find thanks for sharing
ОтветитьBullshit 🤦♂️ 😅😂
ОтветитьOm du är intresserad(swedish : det hade varit intressant/kul att följa med på något sånt här! Ballt…
ОтветитьThe thing is I would still wear those jeans if I had the money 🥲🥲🥲
ОтветитьThat decent was scary af. The ascent must’ve been brutal af. 👏👍
Ответить®️🇺🇸⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✌️
ОтветитьAbsolutely crazy that this guy yanking at the buried jeans. Be careful man. One tear can cost you a few 1000 dollars
ОтветитьThe conditions were horable. Food was crap And all the miners drank. So when you crap your pants trying to lift that big timber? You had to leave his pants down there. Because nobody would ride the shoot back up with you with crap in your pants.
ОтветитьI guess it was better to leave the mine naked. Than not at all…
ОтветитьSo do you wash them before they get appraised or no
ОтветитьIt would be interesting to know how the seams were stitched back then. Was it all straight stitches from straight stitch sewing machine? I don’t think overlock stitch sewing machines were available yet. Overlock stitches are used on modern jeans to prevent the denim from fraying.
Ответитьseth rogan of cave exploration
ОтветитьThey sure don’t make them like they used to. I’ve worn holes in many pairs of Levi’s I’ve owned. To the point of donating them because I don’t know how to patch them up. Your lucky to get 7-8 years out of today’s Levi’s and I sure wasn’t doing this kind of mining in them. (I actually am a miner but I am a heavy machine operator witch means I sit in an air conditioned cab all day moving 1000’s of tons of material from one place to another)
ОтветитьI know a guy who made a small fortune on vintage clothes, especially Levi Jeans. He would visit old homesteads, abandon towns, etc. out here in the S.W. and find them. He sold them to the smucks in L.A. for tens of thousands of dollars.
ОтветитьFind a skeleton in those jeans?
ОтветитьThe 150K jeans were probably mint condition
Ответитьwhy did the old miners take there pants off
ОтветитьWhy would they leave those jeans there?
ОтветитьI bet theres so much more stuff in this mine
ОтветитьPerfectly distressed!
Now it is time to wear them for a nice night out!
In 2022, a rough pair auctioned in New Mexico for 87k.
ОтветитьFrom what I have seen those jeans had zero dollar value due to the damage to them
Ответить4 minutes in Cant Stop i cant help but hear Stevie Nicks sing it and should be added to your video !
ОтветитьVery nice. Hopefully that greedy owner let you keep a few of the treasures you slaved to bring to light
ОтветитьThat was so cool ! I have never spent the night in a mine, but have spent 4 hours in Ape Cave a lava tube on south side of Mt St Helens volcano which was pitch black when lights turned off and floor so uneven with jagged waves on floor you couldn't walk in the dark.
Ответить15 seconds to realise you had sunglasses on yet at the brightest part of the mine ? At that point id give you another few minutes to figure it out in the dark shaft !
ОтветитьWould a miner or mine owner put a "closet" of clothes there and no real signs of big mine supply boxes or tins ? What decent mine raider would take the other stuff and leave the clothes behind ? Im not buying it sorry !
ОтветитьI was going to say the wood ladder looked brand new.
