Buddy Rich playing match grip. The fastest single roll I have ever seen.
ОтветитьBuddy clearly won this battle....first off theres buddy then all the drummers who ever lived he's still the percussion king
Ответить📣 AMAZING VINTAGE WITH GREAT SOUND QUALITY🥳LOVE IT💎🪞👗👠📿💄👜🌹🌉❤️♾️
ОтветитьEric played with so much ease. Rich was too mechanical, way too much unnecessary energy. Rich of course had to be the king of the show, the legend "in his own mind"!
ОтветитьBuddy Rich was the Best of the Best.....King of the Drummer World.....ever.....
ОтветитьI can stand a drummer showing and leading to show his real skillsl in a couple songs. After that they can go back to holding down straight tempo. Steve Gadd, lenny White, Peter Erskine, Chester Thompson, etc.😐
ОтветитьFischer.👍👍
ОтветитьLook!...Buddy playing matched grip!😄
ОтветитьFantastic job! Copied buddy note for note. He's great drummer but, I'd like to hear Eric play not copy someone else.
ОтветитьGreat job. You realize how theatrical Bud was (making everything look harder than it was for him) by seeing how relaxed Eric is. Personally, I love to see a relaxed drummer.
ОтветитьThe hilarious part is that, the people in the audience have absolutely no idea what they are witnessing. Oh yeah, they clap at times. But have no clue as to the absolute percussion brilliance they are seeing or hearing.
ОтветитьAnother one of Buddy playing match grip, something he later said wasn’t the right way to hold the sticks!
ОтветитьThe Electro Buddy part is simply genius and hilarious!
ОтветитьGood job!!!!
ОтветитьGreat job syncing this up,and great job learning the solo!!
ОтветитьI'm curious as to why Buddy was not playing traditional grip in the clip?
ОтветитьEasy to see the difference. Buddy's secret? He's using his body. Nobody talks about that but this is as important as your grip. Best lesson ever right there.
ОтветитьWho the fuck is eric fisher ?
ОтветитьWow Bubby for sure! Amazing !
ОтветитьWearing a suit & tie when drumming didn`t bother Buddy.
Ответитьsaw this video yesterday on a drumming buddy rich facebook channel...over 2 million views and counting...great job
ОтветитьI'm surprised to see Buddy Rich using matched grip. He always spoke against it.
ОтветитьDamn! I was enjoying this until that synth drum machine came in. I despise that crap!
ОтветитьNice work Eric. I'm sure there are a lot of drummers who can keep up with Buddy on floor toms and drum exchanges. It's when Buddy gets to the snare with both hands, and he turns that left hand loose that separates him from the drummers who weren't touched by the hand of God. We'll never see his like again. RIP
ОтветитьWhen I first looked at Eric Fisher, I could have sworn that he was an authentic drummer from the 1940s. But then again, I looked at him closely and even though he sounds quite good and amazing, he sure looks like he’s from today’s era.
ОтветитьBuddy Rich , meth head ?
ОтветитьSuperb work recreating that. ❤️
ОтветитьHand speed is godlike. ❤️
ОтветитьUnusual to see buddy not using the trad grip
ОтветитьBuddy will always be the best but in these videos Eric has the better form and mechanics while Buddy looks a little sloppy. Normally it's buddy who has the better form, but not here.
ОтветитьGive me some death metal or Latin drummers that are better?
ОтветитьAWESOME
ОтветитьAmazing amount of work, Main difference I see is that is Eric is playing it, and Buddy is performing it. Awesome job.
ОтветитьBuddy kills the lazy young turk
ОтветитьHe's not as animated 🤷
Shouldn't you be showing off some sort of extracurricular talent when you're doing it
Not necessarily cat juggling but you know 😐
Buddy make that kid like he going in slow mo.
Ответить"Buddy Rich is the greatest drummer to have ever drawn breath."
~~~ Gene Krupa ~~~
Bravissimo dear Eric Fischer !
ОтветитьFunny. I never heard of an Eric Fischer on drums only on this snippet of film. What became of this provocative musician ? Surely I would have picked him out of the many drum catalogs presented to us through the years. Seems he just upped & vanished. Did he just decide to quit the music scene ( I doubt that). Was he killed in some freak accident ? He had to be known right up there with the then competition of fave drummers to be jamming with the newly pronounced bop king of drums 'Buddy Rich'. Eric was great but seems sorely missed among the herd. Where did he vanish to ? I never heard of him before only here. Anyone know ? Was he from Europe maybe ?
ОтветитьEric's so calm and controlled - no wasted motion, it's all from his wrists and fingers - you can tell he's had good teachers.
Buddy's playing with his whole arms - he looks like a kid playing drums who somehow manages to hit everything in time, and it's pure talent, no schooling, just a man doing what he was born to do.
BR with the histrionics and Fischer nonplussed, the editing makes for the a weird but fascinating vid
ОтветитьEven in 1948 Rich was playing things that only Krupa could dream about.
ОтветитьMy Verdict =Buddy Rich no contest!
ОтветитьHi Eric. Great playing!
ОтветитьBuddy Rich... "The Fastest Left Hand in the World"!! RIP
ОтветитьWhew!
ОтветитьI'd rather see The Animal battling Buddy. He's way more entertaining!
ОтветитьBuddy used to like to play the top 100 club, above the Starwood ,mid 70s..16 piece band mostly horns, One night he invites his friend out of the audience to come onstage and sing a song or two..The guy next to me gets up, its Mel Torme , the velvet fog...He did not disappoint..
