Sidekick like a chasse bas in savate is a useful distancing tool and can punish the legs pretty good.
ОтветитьHow about Mawashi-Geri (AKA Roundhouse Kick)... Front kick is for mainly applying shock to an opponent, side kick is for more thrusting and requires more distance and time, round house is better during transitional positions and applying speed and power from off angles that your opponent is far less likely to defend or attack with... My 2 cents...
ОтветитьThe best kick in the one you can make work while being accosted by some dumbass who won’t take no for an answer at a gas station at 1 am. If they’re in front of you, front kick - if they come up to the side, side kick.
ОтветитьHi
ОтветитьFront kick wins in every way but power
ОтветитьUse both 😂
ОтветитьBest kick is the one that is the most direct when you need it.
ОтветитьI used to love side kicks because I could generate a helluva lot of power with them. But they are slow. As I get older, they are tougher to execute because of hip mobility. So my new default is front kicks. I can generate a ton of power just by using a little hip momentum. Target options are much better with a front kick.
ОтветитьI will agree that the front kick is more practical for a self-defense situation however I believe you are incredibly went wrong about the front kick being more powerful than the sidekick. I have broken someone's ribs with a sidekick I don't think I would have been as effective with a front kick.
ОтветитьRound house
ОтветитьBefore video: i disagree but Hard2hurt has changed my mind before so lets see how this cooks. Also I have 50 flash lights now because of him please help.
End of Video: I still personally say it's the low round house because of how fast it is and how hard it is to punish, but I have also bought a new flash light
Yes Sensi Seth, I can do that with a Front Kick.
Ответитьim using both but i favor low front kicks AND sidekicks, i can deliver more power in a sidekick especially if i wind it up also w flykicks nut it tskes lomger time, more telegraphed
ОтветитьMy 50 cents worth ; Well 90 now . Everything has got more expensive. TKD 6th degree and competition kickboxing dude. I like the side kick, and if you nail a spinning side kick , your opponent usually has a major problem . You do need to be good at them tho ,or you are exposed and off balance . Front kick is better to use as a set up for punching .
ОтветитьFor some reason i am way more scared of eating a front kick. I'll occasionally just stop using my brain and eat side kicks, not front kicks tho. That might just be me idk lol.
ОтветитьComing from Karate, 99% of the kicks I use are Mae-geri (snapping front kicks). What you didn't mention is that they are also very hard to catch. Side kicks need to be fast enough so your opponent can't catch them / throw you off balance because you tend to lean back too much as a beginner.
ОтветитьIn my experience, the side kick is almost useless in sparring, except to add power to the front kick. I use the front kick like a leg jab TO GREAT EFFECT and every now and then you can add a little more power by slightly turning your hips sideways, but the front kick is clearly superior, is more difficult to see, you can throw from your normal stance, you're in good defensive position before, during, and after, and can knock your opponent out when you sneak it up to the chin. My entire Muay Thai style is based on the front kick and reinforced by the leg kick with some high kick finishers. I rarely throw the middle kick like most other Muay Thai fighters, only to eventually set up a high kick, mostly.
ОтветитьLmao y’all are wild 💀 Honestly, think you’re both right; it really just depends on the situation. But in a self defense situation I think the front kick is more easily accessible. 🤔 but hands down my side kick definitely generates more power and if I’m put in the right position I’m definitely gonna fire it. Lol 🤷🏾♂️
ОтветитьSide kick much more powerful,,, however you don't need all that power. 6 boards can be done, can't do that with a front kick.
Hard to lead with a side kick,( and land),,,can lead with front and land.
It's just tools in your tool box. Fill your tool box.
I find other kicks need a bit of stretching, but a front kick using the heel or flat foot you can without a warm up.
ОтветитьLEG KICK!
ОтветитьYou dont break your structure...❤
ОтветитьYes it is.
ОтветитьAny strike that goes directly down the line is the best strike. Unless you’re Mike Tyson.
ОтветитьOne of the most powerful is a back kick, but requires precise. With more skills Kiokushin spin kicks delivers most damage (but one needs to do some acrobatics in young age) ...😅
ОтветитьBest damn outro I've ever seen in my life😂
Ответитьfront kick is faster and unpredictable. side kick people can see its coming and have counter . Even front kick got caught you still keep balance. Front kick is for people to keep distance and run away , Side kick is for hurting people so you have to know when to use it but front kick you can do it anytime
ОтветитьI think the only thing that makes front kicks in any respect better than side kicks is again that they’re very mechanically simple kicks and take a shorter amount of time to learn how to do a fundamentally correct front kick, and yes, even sloppy ones can work. But the uses of both kicks, for all intents and purposes, the same
ОтветитьSeth is best on your channel. Sorry Seth.
ОтветитьConsider your body types,as a short person myself I can attest to the front kick is very effective for me and can be used in in fighting very effectively and can be switched to a knee at the last moment. Side kicks tend to favor taller, larger fighters.
ОтветитьFront Jumping Sidekick is the best kick.
ОтветитьFront kicks are best kicks period. And most underused
ОтветитьFront snap kicks can also target the arm out and the soft under part of the arm when punches are thrown.
ОтветитьLike guys arguing which guns are the best.
ОтветитьIs it too dismissive to call this video “adorable” ?
ОтветитьMaybe he can do a front kick to the feet,- no normal person can do it so accuracy. :)
Ответитьhahhah nice😁
ОтветитьSIDEKICK
ОтветитьWe need more vids of you and Seth just arguing about one technique
ОтветитьYou guys are fun to watch and obviously knowledgeable. I will throw in my opinion with 30+ years in Kenpo and as a student of the late great Frank Trejo.
This argument is like trying to decide what is a better tool, a hammer or a screwdriver. Then, do you need a Phillips or Standard? A framing hammer or a finish hammer.
That said, the best tool you have in a fight is the one you have the most control over. If you can't get your foot high enough with a front kick, chances are you can with a side kick.
Lots of variables, but I love seeing you guys debate.
And please keep these coming. One of the biggest problems we had at the beginning days of the UFC was the end of interdisciplinary respect and fun. This took me back to the old days in North Hollywood with some guys that I would join at a gym on Burbank Blvd and geek out on who had the best move for each attack. The debates led to some of the best training I ever experienced and it was always hard to call it a night.
Roundhouse kick is better 😆
ОтветитьThat ending was amazing 😂 Now get ArmchairViolence in there to decide (cause he can wrestle you both down)
ОтветитьWhispers in the dark of night outside the dojo /siiidddeeekick/
ОтветитьLOL
ОтветитьFront kick is like a spear on a battlefield. Every peasant can learn it and use it and it's moderately useful.
ОтветитьSean Strickland became champion of the world with a solid front lock … this aged in favor of Mike
Ответитьside kicks easily better ngl
ОтветитьBack kick. If a good one lands then you’re done.
Ответить
