We would like to start off by saying we are not mad about our experience with a few taxi drivers, nor do we think that all taxi drivers are the same. In fact, we know several that are great drivers who follow the rules and try to help tourists enjoy their experience while visiting Bangkok. With the government taking action against the corruption running through the taxis of Bangkok, you might wonder if it’s safe to use them, but not all of the taxi drivers are corrupt. In fact, there are many that are great drivers with friendly attitudes that are willing to help tourists find all the best Bangkok has to offer.

But if you don’t want to take that risk, there’s the public transit system, which includes the trains and boats. Today, we’re showing you why we love the train so much. Taking the train in Bangkok is one of the best ways to get around the city. Not only will they get you to within blocks of almost every part of the city, but to many locations on the outskirts as well.

But the biggest and best reason to learn how to use the trains of Bangkok is the amount of money you’ll save. Not counting the excess loss from scams, taxis can start getting expensive. Especially when you want to visit opposite ends of the city. While a 300 Baht taxi ride could be a comfortable ride, it could also cost you time as well as money that could be saved by taking the train for only 70 Baht.
