What tyre pressures do you run? Do you change pressures depending on terrain!? Let us know down below👇

What pressure adjustment would I use for my weight of 114 kilos?

What would you do with a 75Kg rider on a 22kg bike (Turbo Levo) riding both on the road and in rocky conditions (stones in the wood)?

Running a good brand of insert generally helps with performance at lower pressures I have found 🤙

I ran 15 psi last week at afan forest, did blade which is super rocky, and slippy, rear tyre was superb at that pressure for that terrain,i think if id have had 25-30 in id have been ,either off,or slipping all over the place

On a 35-65psi tire I run 45-55 at room temp during winter and 35-40 during summer. (temps outside determines the pressure I run my all terrains at)

Having come from road riding, it took me some time to get used to low pressures on MTBs. I've now got tubeless with a rear insert so can go pretty low, helpful as I ride all year round & in Lakes & Yorkshire, so it's often wet & slippy on limestone, so low pressure = better traction all around.

That Topeak pump which can do shocks and tyres - with a digital pressure gauge, seems to be ideal thing to carry with you

I recently discovered on myself that suspensions don’t work well with very low tyre pressure. 21 psi front and 24 psi rear are a good all round starting point pressure for me.

The problem i see is first getting to the climb ie a lot of road before you get there and putting preasure back into the tyre after you have finished the climb i,ll stick to "normal " tyre pressure and slide around less work.

I have 67 Kilos, my bike 22.5 Kilos and I run (front and rear) at 1,0 bar or 14.5 psi (trail, AM) with Schwalbe Eddy Current. No problems, good grip. Thank U for the video, Steve! Good Job. Greetings from Germany

very interesting, finding that 'sweet perfect tension'. But don't forget that those low pressures are detrimental for the lifespan of those damn €xpnsiv€ tubes!

When Steve left Ray's workshop his folding front tyre popped its clogs on the 150mm masonry step. He probably forgot it happened, however for me, the memory of a brand new tyre giving up the ghost so soon raised a question. Reducing tyre pressures was how the Desert Rats got up the sand dunes in North Africa but the old cross ply tyres were heavy and reinforced! Just maybe, a review of a cheaper possibly longer lived wire beaded tyre type would have educated an Old School Cheapskate about folders folding on sharp edges!

0.9bar in the summer 0.8 in the fall. Can't really go lower than that. Or you can but you start to lose capability in handling at that point. 0.9 bar is already low enough that it's definitely not for railing turns.

I put winter nails in the tires.
I re-new them every 100meters cause they damage on rock

I have a 2021 trek rail and I usually run between 14-16 lbs. when ever I go to 20 and above I feel like my front tire is washing out. With gear I’m about 180-185.

I like to run about 19psi with a strong tirewall. It seems to work best for me. Super soft tire compound

The issue of tire pressures, are the trends, with today's tires and suspensions it is rare to lose traction and more in the easy climb of the video, 10psi? oh really? What about rolling resistance? Do you want to see how your battery burns? How long will your wheel rims last? better to have a good margin of safety and improve the technique😉
