ОтветитьI love how the chapters in the progress bar let us know when you're about to screw up hahaha
ОтветитьPeople who don't like Roguelikes are probably those who intentionally play nothing but AAA games, calling themselves "True Gamers™".
ОтветитьMy boyfriend is not a roguelike fan at all, maybe a roguelite thats more on the easy side. He hates dying and losing all the progress, it frustrates him and I totally get that. I also have the more patience between us so dying and trying again isnt so bad to me.
ОтветитьI like rougelikes became im a masochist we are not the same.
Ответитьi will never stop until i flawless enter the gungeon
Ответитьdeflector is underrated
ОтветитьIf I were to challenge myself to do a flawless run of a roguelite/like it'd probably be Undermine. Not to say ive done it ever or expect myself to be able to consistently do so, but thats one Id probably enjoy myself trying with. Undermine appeals top me as its probably the closest we're going to get to a classic zelda such as link to the past adopting the formula. However, Dead cells is actually one of my top 5 favorite games ever, so Id enjoy my endless fails there as well. Wizard of legend is an honorable mention.
I would have said Moonlighter but from what I remember of it, it was considerably more difficult than Undermine.
Is gungeon considered buggy? I've played 200 hours and the only issue I've found is that some guns crash the frame rate
ОтветитьDead cells
ОтветитьThat Slay the Spire one was so funny
Ответитьi think i could flawless Ancient Dungeon VR or atleast try to
ОтветитьI can tell this guy watches Northernlion lol. His cadence and vocabulary are so similar
ОтветитьCant take hp to card game but doesnt care for revita lol
ОтветитьI've beaten Nuclear Throne, Gungeon, Blazing Beaks, Necrodancer, and Crab Champions flawlessly before, so I think this would go well for me.
Ответитьfor me it's the infinite potential of rogue likes that draw me to them. the fact that progress resets each time you die, means that the developers can go a little...rogue on the power scaling. if you'd find a super overpowered weapon or synergy in a regular rpg, you'd have just wouldn't have any challenge and it would be super boring for the next 20 or more levels. if you get an overpowered combo in a rogue like, it feels amazing cause it doesnt water the gameplay down for you . eventually you win or die and you'll may find the same enjoyment you had before in the next run.
Ответитьwhat is the first game??
ОтветитьONE REASON I LIKE ROGUELIKE, it's pure skill.
You have to learn the game and pro-inizing yourself to beat most roguelikes, and that journey and feeling when done is unmatched.
Edit: I watched two minutes in before writing this comment.
But man you should do part 2, i've been looking at all these and some of them i am hesistant to spend money on because of AA+ games being more satisfying.
But this is a nice runthrough, thank you for showing this.
Sparked an interest, and i now know what is worth my money!
so is it roguelike or roguelite??? wtf i dont understand this at all
Ответитьlove the vid!
Ответитьwould minesweeper be considered a roguelike??
Ответитьno risk of rain? D:
Ответитьto be fair I had ALOT of runs of slay the spire where you just never take any damage because you have SO MUCH armor every turn
ОтветитьWay you have no likes?¿
Ответитьwhats the game called in the intro after isaac?
ОтветитьDon’t lose everything you get to keep something from your previous run to help your next run like upgrades or abilities, but most abilities do disappear when the run is over
ОтветитьI like it. Good video.
I think the argument that repeating attempts or runs in roguelike/lite games is boring or painful intentionally skips a very important part of the design philosophy, which is the concept of failing forward. In the best of these games, a huge part of the story is communicated through the ways the game world or characters change as they succeed or fail and repeat attempts. You're not just expected to fail, you're intended to - it's often critical to the game's narrative. In fact, I can think of several games where if you somehow were to never fail, you would be unable to progress some part of the game.
I mean, I totally understand if people don't find that appealing, everybody is allowed to have their own taste. And I have definitely felt frustrated if I'm just not able to get a win for many attempts in a row - and if you're playing a game where tests of reaction speed or coordination are key abs those aren't your strong suit, yeah I get how you might just be turned off if the genre entirely.
U ARE TRASH LOOOL
ОтветитьSo dumb
Ответитьnone of these are roguelikes, period. they're all roguelites
Ответитьi play revita ob GX games it a good game
ОтветитьI dont know how good you are at Gungeon but definitely that if you had to flawless one, I know if I had to I would choose EtG I love that game so much and have done like 1300 runs with about half actually being wins
ОтветитьCool vid, you say dude funny.
Ответитьwhats that jrpg looking game in the intro
ОтветитьCould anyone comment down the first game showcased? The space ship one used in the intro
ОтветитьWhere noita
Ответитьyou should do the same but with shooter rougelikes
ОтветитьIf I was under threat of rock based knee surgery I think the rougelike I'd try to no hit would be dead cells with one step from eden as a close second because both games encourage you to go fast but generally let you take your time and be careful, plus they're short and the less time you spend in combat the lower your chances of taking a hit.
ОтветитьI’m flawlessing dead cell in my sleep love that game probably 1k hours
Ответитьshould've re rolled latch key into secret item
Ответитьjesus that nt run was so unlucky in the beginning
ОтветитьNuclear throne would be my game, 2.5k hours in it, but to be fair the game only really starts after you start looping
ОтветитьI like how there isn't a single roguelike game in this video lol.....
It's all roguelites..
Roguelikes, while the name is extremly (and uncomfirtably) similar in their naming, but they are very different gameplay wise.
I'm not gonna waste my time writing a whole comparison, if no one's gonna read ut anyway, so if you want e to, just reply and say that 😅
none of those games were like rogue though...
