Sorry to ring up a really old video. But will my audio system benefit from a cap? Even if I already have the HO alt, and big 3s? Or just not bother with the cap? I feel the cap may help balance the voltage a bit. But maybe not. Anyone have advice on this for me?

I have my amp grounded to my battery in the trunk. So couldn’t I do this same thing here but ground the amp to the battery and ground the cap to the chassis ??

My Belva 10" sub kit I got from ebay is draining my battery when it sits. when I pull off the big red power wire from the fuse that comes with the kit mounted near the battery my meter drops, so I know it's the amp drawing power while the car is off. I even removed the blue remote turn on to see if that was letting it draw power, with the blue wire off it is still drawing power from the battery. It's just pulling a very little amount of power to drain my battery over a few days of car sitting.

When charging the cap for initial use or discharging for safety, a simple 12v incandescent test light is ideal as a charging resistor, Simply place one end to positive end of battery and other end to disconnected cable. when the light goes out, you are safe to connect. For discharging carefully remove cable from battery and insert the test light between cable and ground. when light is out, discharged. This is good to remember when you lose the tiny resistor they give you and knowing how to perform this is vital. Please remember you are dealing with lethal current levels and use care not to short any wires. I always charge and discharge in front of the fuse so if there is a mishap it will pop the fuse first.

Why not show how to charge the capacitor and show a full install on the table? Thumbs down.

Never put needles on a 9 volt battery and stab it in the same vein.... that will definitely be enough charge to kill you. if you close the circuit on a live capacitor this size.... sucks to be you! on a scale of 1 to 10 how painful was it? like my dad always says "good thing it's far from the heart" and "its the amps that kills you" Quantifying data.... brain small give me second.... BS. You install the capacitor after the amplifier.
It goes like this:
+ : Alternator is connected to the battery. Battery ( fused ) is connected to the amplifier, and the vehicle . Amplifier is connected to the capacitor. That's 2 wires going to the amplifier.
- : Motor is connected to the frame ( 2X ), and battery. Battery is connected to the body, frame, and amplifier. Amplifier is connected to the capacitor.
