I’m someone with a Fuji XT4 and really need to change to Canon/Sony due to the poor AF😢still trying to find a camera that suits my needs (i usually do street photography, focusing on architectures, but recently I want to start portrait shooting, mainly for concert use)

ОтветитьI will and always have been a canon user, i absolutely love their cameras. With that being said, i must say that sony cameras do look quite good and i would honestly consider them the two best brands. as long as your not using a nikon your fine... jk (not jk)
ОтветитьSony of-course
Ответитьnikon❤🎉
ОтветитьBuy a second hand camera. Brand is not important, they're all good. Go to the library and browse through some photobooks. Watch. Which photo's do you like and which not and why. Then go out and shoot some pictures. A lot of them. Learn. Get better. And THEN, IF you think your second hand camera is limiting and you understand why, start worrying about your gear.
ОтветитьI choose Durex .. This is what happens when your child gets a camera and discovers the Internet.
ОтветитьSony all the way. The grip is just so comfy.
ОтветитьJust wanna correct some.
- R6 can use battery from 5D mark ii and 6D mark i days. (Idk about R5)
- 50mm f1.2 GM way cheaper than 50mm f1.2 RF. And some focal length follow suit. 😢
I know for a fact that Canon customer service is a dream to work with. I hear horror stories about Sony customer service. I currently have Canon and Sony I feel like my Canon does rain, wind, and sand. I baby my Sony A7r4.
Ответитьi went to some photo competition, i used canon eos r with 50mm 1.2 ... and the winner is some guy with canon 550D with takumar lens, there was LEICA M9, Nikon 850D, Sony A9, Fujifilm GFX 50, even some guy bring the Phase One ... my god its a WAR !! ... But in the end, the experience, framing, timing, is the key.
Ответитьthe betteries are the same with the exception of like the RP...
ОтветитьCanon nevermore!
ОтветитьTalk to much go right to the point
Ответитьneither, it's all about nikon
ОтветитьI got a canon 5dS a canon rebbel t7 and a Sony nex 5 and a Sony a 6500 my favorite is my 5dS

ОтветитьHillarious - way to go you tuber. Or "how to drive maximum egagement in the comments", to boost the algorithm.
The short answer is, both brands produce good images, at least in the flagship models anyhow, eg, the A1, the R5 and R3.
Both brands have good glass available - it doesnt matter who makes the glass.
Both brands have similar high iso performance per pixel area.
I personally found the A1 too small for my hands, but the a1 will be perfect for others.
The biggest differentiator is; Sonys 46mm mount vs Canon (and Nikon) 52mm mount.
One of my favorite lenses in my Samyang 10mm rectilinear EF mount, adapted to my R5. 10mm is wide, truly wide, and, where it is needed there is no substiure. Straightening a 8mm fisheye gives very soft corners, and, once cropped rectangular, is 10-11mm or wider anyhow.
Sonys 46mm will vignette a 10mm rectilinear, and thus, is a deal breaker for me. Sony really needs to update their mount to 52mm.
Canons new 10-20mm F4 rectilinear looks to be a winner for UWA enthusiasts, and realestate. Sony or others could not release this type of lens for the Sony 46mm mount - it would vignette at the wide end.
All the rest of the arguments & comments are just noise. There is only one real show stopping limitation, and that is the small 46mm mount size.
The best is the photographer, and I don't use any of them these brands.
