Doc what up its lotto how u been

I'm new to mpc. I'm a bit overwhelmed with navigating through it all. I've never had a daw either, so I'm literally new to all of this. I'm a guitar player. That's what I've always been geared toward. I have a quad cortex and haven't been able to get any audio from it to the mpc. It has xlr, 1/4 inch, plus midi outputs. I know there's probably a channel setting in the mpc, and I've just not found it. Hooking the mpc to my tascam model 12 was straight forward, but no luck with my quad cortex. Any ideas or help would be most appreciated.

I usually just click on an empty pad, then push down on the data wheel to load the samples.

HI when i turn om mpc one and go to new track on the main page the sequence section and the track section comes up but no drum program is showing up do you know how to get the drum program to show up . every video i watch on the main page there is 3 sections i only have 2 no drum program?
