I just got my iPad today …. The screen just makes me wish this made it to a tv size …. Even through on the super dark super banding on oled house of the dragons episode 7 and it handles it like a champ
And I feel like apples processing is superior
Bro please when u get the IPad please compare the screen to the Mini Led MacBook Pro cos this ipads are hella expansive...
So please compare the 2...thnx
Watching movies on an iPad? With that square screen? LMAO. iPads are for drawing that's it. Everything else you are better off with either a laptop or a phone.
ОтветитьSamsung S90D or LG G3 ?!
ОтветитьHow 1000 nits and 1600 peak are incredible? iPhone 14 Pro/15 Pro are going up to 2000. Not to talk about S24U or other that goes beyond 2000.
ОтветитьYeah, OLED at 1,000 nit full window is something to behold - my Oled laptop and it’s definitely impressive all the time, not just in dark scenes. if Oled TVS sustained 500 nits full window which is what a $300 iPad can do, they’d have no brightness issues even in bright scenes.
ОтветитьFinally the IPad display is not going to look like trash compared to my IPhone,tv, or Vision Pro. I’m so used to to Oled that I can’t stand my IPad light bleed will upgrade because of the screen. Kg since you are reviewing Apple stuff will you be picking up the Vison Pro and giving us your thoughts on how it compares to flagship Oled TVs as well?
ОтветитьTandem OLED is on the market for a few months already, some phones achieve even 5000 nits with it already so Apple is far behind
ОтветитьTablet is too small and cant replace a laptop.
A laptop cant replace a tablet.
The best in between product that can replace both is a surface pro or galaxy book
It’s a very impressive iPad that came years too late—I also hate the fact that it doesn’t have customizable picture settings like motion, color, and luminance, which is the same reason I wouldn’t buy the Apple Vision Pro. I can’t say I’m not excited about it’s HDR capabilities, but given how disappointing the MacBooks are in that regard, I wouldn’t put too much faith on Apple.
ОтветитьWonder if something like this could ever get to TV space. But I doubt it. The cost would be prohibitive and the aging of the organic compound would still be the same.
The 1,000 nit full screen brightness is only feasible because the screen is so small. Imagine the power requirement and the heat on a 65" let alone a77".
It will be cool tough for an iPAD.
Also note people were saying a fully top spec iPad Pro in 2021 was $1,600 and now in 2024 it's $3,200.
The price of iPad Pro has actually doubled in just three years.
I'm miffed that they didn't choose a horizontal resolution to cleanly scale from 4K.
The 11" iPad Pro should be 2880x2160 and using the same size/resolution scaling as they have between 11"-13" right now the 13" iPad Pro should be 3264x2448.
But I would have still got one just for the HDR specs "IF" it weren't now the same price as a Macbook, or actually much more expensive if you want a keyboard, so at this point it's pretty much guaranteed the OLED iPad Pro will be a poor value compared to the inevitable OLED Macbook Air.
You should have given use specs on the best OLED TV’s out now as reference to the IPAD specs for reference. Can’t wait for the side by side comparisons next week. Would also like to see how well the $999 11” in reference mode does compared to a true $10,000+ Film industry reference monitor. We’ll see.
ОтветитьGREAT technology, however, is a useless aspect ratio. Good luck watching letter box movies on it. Unless you want to watch 4×3 tv shows from the 1970s.
Ответитьgetting the 13" pro the minute its in the store. this display is going to be amazing. 5.1mm = wow. I have an older 11" pro. I do not have a laptop because iPad does everything I need a laptop for. ( I have a Mac Studio desktop and a gaming machine I built ). yes do a review. the reference mode sounds amazing too
ОтветитьImpressive, but HDR really not that immersive on a 11 or 13 inch screen.
ОтветитьS24 ultra is 2600 nits. I can see the screen clearly outside on a sunny day. If only AMOLED could be made TV size.
ОтветитьAlready pre-ordered the 13 inch pro
ОтветитьWhich telephones?
ОтветитьThis would be great for media consumption, but the aspect ratio is 4:3 which is not ideal for movies/TV
ОтветитьGrabbed it yesterday
ОтветитьApple make good iPads I have on from a couple years ago. Do a review please.
Ответить1000nits full-screen brightness....for 2 seconds.
ОтветитьI have an idea, lets stack a bunch of ipads together to make a tv
Ответить11 inch SAMSUNG panel,13 inch LG panel. Tandem OLED and Micro led is the future.
ОтветитьGreat vid! I hope this pushes OLED TV manufacturers to up their game.
ОтветитьOrdered mine yesterday.
ОтветитьNever heard of double layer OLED before Apple did
ОтветитьI like what Apple is bringing to the table with iPads. The problem for me is the OS and how they manage it. I find the Galaxy Tab S line to be more user-friendly for me.
I had an Ipad pro for 3yrs, and switched to the Tab a while back. Poor File management on iPad OS was the last straw for me.
Tandem OLED?
Isn't this just a daul screen oled display?
Take a whopper and add two patties; Tandem whopper. SMH.
TV manufacturers could do the same but choose not to because the cost would be high. I mean, BVM monitors are dual-layered monitors; look how much they cost.
LG display shows 4 stack tandem w oled @ CES that can deliver between 92%-95% bt 2020, with peak brightness of 3750nit and 756nit full screen using pattern microcavity WITH B/G/R WOLED TANDEM METTHOD
ОтветитьOrdered
ОтветитьBe ready for the I didn’t really listen but want to know why we can’t have this in a TV warriors lol 😂🎉😅
ОтветитьAwesome video my friend
