Just made this bag today. I will cut off the strap and make another using 45 "as it is much too small for me too. My lining inside seems a bit bulky too. I measured 3x so not sure why. I love the way you show things in real time and go through each step!! You are extremely helpful, thankyou!
ОтветитьGreat video. You've helped me figure out how to sew the lining in over the flap ❤
ОтветитьI like how you design your bags for your fur baby. ❤❤
I learned a new technique on sewing the ends of a strap. I would never have thought to turn the fabric the same way. I havecalways tucked the ends when sewin a long strap or tube like strip. I will use this technique from now on. I can see how it will make the end more even.
Thank you
Debbie
Love this video ❤🎉. Thanks!!
ОтветитьThank-you so much, I tried it and are very happy with my bag. I made it a bit bigger. Enjoyed your tutorial very much.
ОтветитьLove it, thank you💕
ОтветитьMade this bag today Debbie, thank you for the easy to follow tutorial xxxx
Ответить👌👏👍👍
ОтветитьWhat is your ironing board? I didn’t see a link in the description box.
Ответить🥰🦋🌈🦋🥰
ОтветитьThis is a great bag ,I have now made 4 for Christmas Presents, thanks Debbie for your generousity.
ОтветитьThank you so much for the tutorial Debbie, I absolutely loved making the bag as a gift.
ОтветитьFantastic
ОтветитьDear Debbie - I really appreciate all of your details of making this crossover bag. Thank you for all of your hard work. Smiles
Ответитьthank you debbie this method is easy to understand
ОтветитьLove it.Will do mine in denim. Thanks for this easy method .
ОтветитьPerfect little bag I can hide inside my jacket when I’m out on my own. I have to use a mobility scooter so always feel vulnerable with my bag on show. Thank you Debbie for yet another wonderful little but very practical make.
ОтветитьMay I ask what length of stitches you recommend for seams and topstitching, please Debbie. Thanks so much for all your hard work: I love all your tutorials; you have such an easy way of demonstrating the techniques. TIA
ОтветитьI made this bag 4 inches bigger than yours with a gusset of 3 inches. It came out great. I used an aqua print with butterflies and a sky blue gusset and lining. I have been making other of your patterns for craft show items
ОтветитьWhat a fabulous tutorial. I’ve been wanting to make a dog walking bag for ages. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’m really excited now. Can’t wait to get started. 😊
ОтветитьLove this, will definitely be trying it
ОтветитьI tried making my bag in faux leather, but I found that it was impossible to topstitch over the tabs for the straps , even with a walking foot, and sewing on the long strap (not long enough!) was also difficult because there are too many layers of fabric. I have a little bag that I can use though, and I've learned a lot about faux leather! The next bag will be in recycled denim - nice and easy! Thanks Debbie for the instructions!
ОтветитьJust made this bag and it’s great. I found the strap too short for me as a cross body bag so I added an additional 15” and it’s now spot on. I do like the way you finish your projects - neat and professional. I have several dog walking friends who will be getting one of these for birthdays/ Christmas. Thank you so much for all your excellent tutorials. They really are the best out there. 👍
ОтветитьFab bag - nice sew!
ОтветитьDefinately strap too short. But happy with the little bag
ОтветитьOve this!!! Mine will have a removable strap, so I can pop it off, and stick it in a larger bag, when I'm in a hurry!
ОтветитьBrilliant tutorial. Thank you.
ОтветитьI just finished one. I used a regular cotton for the lining and a light weight canvas for the bag. Oh it's so cute. I have to make another. For a gift. Thank you so much. It's perfect. Just don't look too close. Thank you Thank you, etc.
ОтветитьThe birds sound lovely in the garden. Like the bag thank you.
ОтветитьSuch a great cross body bag! I think I might use some denim jeans to make one. Thanks for another great project, Debbie!
ОтветитьMade this sweet little bag today. Used quilt cotton in a rust color that featured black butterflies. Used that as front, back and underside of flap. Used a sparkly black cotton for gussets, top of flap, tabs and strap. I did make the gusset about a half inch wider and had no issues with the slight change. Went together well and was fun to make. Thanks for another great bag🤗👍🏽
ОтветитьMade the whole bag ,came out fab a shame the strap is miles to short, start again Sylvia, where the cutting instructions wrong?
ОтветитьI can't imagine how the strap can fit you cross body, 30" just goes over one shoulder and is almost right under my armpit! I have had to add a further 20" and that really doesn't give enough to make use of a slider. Other than that I love this pattern. 🙂
ОтветитьLove ❤️ it.
ОтветитьLove this bag. And she made it so easy to make
ОтветитьLove this I will be making one or two thanks again for your instructions
Ответитьdefinitely will sew one of these - love your variety of purses or bags .
ОтветитьShouldn’t we cut 2 of each 6x8 for body of bag outer and lining?
ОтветитьAnother sweet bag, both easy and useful! You are a joy to watch.
ОтветитьLoved it Debbie thanks. I had to nip back to get a bit more fabric but glad I did as she also stocks your fabric so my pocket is a bit lighter but hey ho xxx
ОтветитьI look forward to making this and have enjoyed a couple of your other bag tutorials! I'm curious about the mat under your machine. Did you make a video about it?
ОтветитьThis is a fantastic tutorial. This crossbody bag would make a great bag to take to music concerts keeping it simple!
ОтветитьI can’t wait to make this one! I was thinking cork would be cute with this bag… thank you!
ОтветитьI have wanted a bag like this for ages. Thank you for the live & extra tutorial x
ОтветитьWill be making this one soon!
What happened to the Live video Debbie? No longer showing. I was half way through watching it yesterday but today it’s gone.
great little simple bag. I think I would make the strap a little longer. seems a bit short for me to wear across body, but yes I would definitely make this one.
ОтветитьThank you very much for sharing this video. You are a wonderful teacher and you explain all the important steps. I’m glad I can learn a lot of things from you.
ОтветитьThank you Debbie. You're a lovely teacher xx
