A very cool ship. Seems like it fills a similar role to the Acclamator Assault Corvettes from Star Wars: The Clone Wars

If I was making a dropship I’d have it use a discardable one time use sacrificial armor chunk that I’d basically just full speed into the ground with and then deploy vehicles/troops then detach it and jet back up into space

Looks a lot like the old Skyforge.

Everything I download always seems unresponsive, resource heavy, and have all the durability of a wet paper bag when compared to things i run into on servers and my own designs.

That said, though, they occasionally reveal some nice quality of life features that I have integrated into my own builds as standard 🤔

You said in this you had a public server but I do not see a name for it in the description. Or how to access it.

Looks like a custom variant of the Ironclad from Star Citizen but damn nice. It inspires me also this looks like a relative of the ARMD platform from Macross/Robotech but the bridge makes more sense to me on this beast.

I prefer orbital drop but amphibious assault is always such a great time. Because you get the big grid for support into the fight.

Nice Ship and I do love Gator Navy ships this reminds me of a LST (Landing Ship Tank) and aircraft handling from a LSD (Landing Ship Dock) Have some small drop ships with grunts and or Recon teams to secure the LZ and then call in the Assault Ship Viper did a good job on this build and I am looking to try it out soon. Oh BTW I was a Marine grunt that is how I know about Gator Navy ships. was on LST's and LPD's a lot plus a few LHA's in the 80's and early 90's

Not even a minute in and I can already see a scenario play out where these could act as like anti-fighter escorts or point-defense oriented craft, then move into a ground assault phase with their fleet supporting from orbit. Very practical, if a little unorthodox.

Reminds me of the Anvil Liberator concept for Star Citizen

I prefer parking a few thousand meters above the base than dropping a payload usually rockets, custom missile drones, then ground assault heavy vehicles, close air support, and finally light assault vehicles over the course of 10-15 minutes the base is usually leveled as the first two parts of the payload is meant to disable 45%-90% of any turret defense on the exterior and the last parts take care of any remaining defensive positions

Theres also another similar ship, called the onrc phalanx. It has less than 20k pcu if people want a more performance friendlier ship that can do something like this. I think the bunkerhill doubles in pcu.

This is a really great concept! I love the idea of Military Transport ships, landing and deploying infantry, vehicles and armor. Too bad the in-game armor is basically paper and ground combat is an after thought (makes sense, it is called SPACE ENGINEERS. But still I can dream.).
