2019 VW Golf R vs Civic Type R vs Veloster N - TRACK REVIEW // DRAG RACE & LAP TIMES

I have had my Veloster N for over three years now. Not a single problem. My mods are minimal since the car is so good off the lot. This car is a keeper despite two offers more than MSRP used. When it kills me you can have it.

I was a Honda guy growing up (Thanks Dad!! RIP 2023), and as exclusively a Coupe driver (Also, thanks Dad), I am going with the Veloster N for my next car, as it is the only FWD Coupe in this video (suicide door doesn't count).

I currently drive a 2016 Kia Forte Koup SX (essentially a better Honda Civic Si), but went from a 2003 Civic LX Coupe (my first car for 7 years), to a 2012 Civic Coupe EX-L (my dream Civic. Metallic Gray, added Fog Lights, and Interior Lighting myself. Totaled in a damn blizzard), to a 2010 370Z, to a 2016 Veloster Turbo for a month (Totaled. Not my fault), and now my 2016 Kia Forte Koup "Si".

I baby my Forte SX like crazy, but am SO looking forward to buying a Veloster N here in the next few years.

2 doors is all you need, and if someone says otherwise, tell them to buy a fucking minivan.

There was no real explanation why the VN was more fun other than the fact that it’s the obvious underdog, so I call BS because it’s the OBVIOUS underdog, and the Type R is king. “I have spoken.”

3 years later and thomas got his foot in his mouth pretty bad about this. Allllllll that civic type r hype turned out to be a boring package and fwd is still for the feeble.

The Veloster N really is the best bang for the buck Hot Hatch on the market- You won't be disappointed at all-

That's a great review. It's to bad they don't put the Honda in more of a sleeper car ie..great design but minus the rear or less rear spoiler and out there design. Only 20 and 30 year olds who can afford this car would be the demographic.?

I just bought a 2022 veloster n and it is incredible. 2022 is the last year for them. It is a fun little ride with awesome exhaust sound. $15k cheaper then the R. Could pry put a air intake on it and would possibly put its times similar to Honda.

Idk wtf these guys are doing, but that is the lamest racing I've ever seen. I drive a 22 VN DCT and my coworker drives a 22 CTR, and I can tell you from personal experience the VN is faster. I've beaten him 6 times now, and lost 0. I jump off the line, and I keep going, to the point he can't catch up. Up to 140+ I am still stepping away. Idk about the golf, if I meet one I'll update lol.

Any of these would be killer if they make a full EV AWD version given how great electric motors can be. On top of that, added weight for batteries but very low center of gravity.

This video is classic. It shows James in his infancy stage of becoming a full blown member of TH. Thomas is an OG and he’s been around cars for a looongg time. He used to do videos of him wrenching on cars and then it was him and that race car driver and then arrived James. James doesn’t even test drive the cars at this stage and he def did not know how to drift. Thomas has been cultivating this channel for years and it shows. James at this point really didn’t know squat about cars. Their videos today in 2022 have a way diff feel. Thomas taught James how to drive and I’m sure James is thankful for that. Not to mention James turned this into a fantasy job. Oh how far he’s come…. He was literally shitting his pants driving with Thomas
