After Android 12 update on my OP 7 Pro even the boot animation got worst. The cycling dot does not expand to the squared OnePlus red logo. Now it just fades away to booted screen.
These were the details to the software that OnePlus communiy was paying for. Now is going away with the merge of ColorOS with the UI that already feels inconsistent.

Oneplus 7 pro was peak Oneplus Era and they fell off of a cliff after that! Always wanted one but never ended up with one. Still rolling with My S22 Ultra and been on Samsung since the S2. Plus I don't trust Anything coming from China so......

So prices go up, but if Oneplus made 8- 900+ dollar flagship Killers today that were better and leading the way of other flagships, I would still be a Oneplus enthusiast, but OnePlus settled.

As a non_geek One Plus user, who aqquired a recycled OnePlus (3) phone that almost noone here had heard about, I have followed this story. I cannot help beleving that phone makers get into huge branding challenges that seem almost as important as technical innovation. Look at Sony and LG. BBK has to shape and manage the identities of OnePlus and its parent brand. Huge market players like Nokia can tumble. BBK risks alienating the respective markets of Oppo and OnePlus to the competition.They cannot afford to even appear to settle. The OnePlus 3 has been great. I would hate it to lose its innovative flavour.

Bruh there phone's are expensive now. If I was to spend 1k on a phone, I would just buy a Samsung or pixel

People don't understand that if Oneplus continued trying to appease the enthusiast crowd (which I imagine they could) the business would run itself into the ground. People would want cheaper and cheaper prices for ultra-premium phones with special features that distinguish them from the crowd. All of this just for a relatively limited demographic is just not logical. The only thing I would say is that Oneplus should've continued putting more effort into their software, its a crucial part of a phone regardless whether it is a flagship killer or not. Hardware wise though, I feel Oneplus could hardly be blamed.

Every next update is just killing all the OnePlus stuffs.

i got oneplus 6T , 7 pro , 8T and 8pro and i think my last phone of oneplus is 8pro , the problems 3 of them are screen burn in ! only 6T is nothing happen with the screen

Oxygen os 12 & 13 are the start of the disaster, the OS is simply a new procreation of Realme & oppo phones My $750 One Plus 8T is not different from a $100 oppo phone ! OnePlus lost their USP ! I don't think they suck. At least their budget phones don't. They are way better than anything else in the market. Can't talk about the fancy expensive ones. I stopped buying expensive phones since it's like throwing your money away if each year there's a better one.

There phones are great. Oxygen Os is the Best but because of all its bugss the phone performance gets so stuttering laggy and battery drain is terible. Oxygen os was great and bug free in starting.THATS why i SWITCHED to SAMSUNG GALAXY.Wish oneplus fix all the issue. I recommend you to switch to galaxy.there are much smoother and gives more battery.

Oneplus still makes good phones. And they still have oxygen OS, which was always the most important thing when speaking of oneplus phones. The phones are not bad just because they cost more.

I still have my OnePlus 9 Pro and... it does not suck. It was not worth $1,000.00, yet, it has worn well over the past year.
