Can't wait to get to NYC on Friday with my better half and personally welcome you to the USA! So exited that you are crossing the pond to meet your fans in the US!
ОтветитьNice video I don't get to use my roll near enough!
ОтветитьQuestion.. i want an metal caseback for my pd1661.. is this posible?
ОтветитьAsk some insiders about Thursday's Watch Meet (if you are in NYC and available).
ОтветитьImagine Jody, Marc, TGV and Teddy all in one spot
ОтветитьI own one of the first Watch rolls Tim sold and its incredible. Materials and craftsmanship are a 10. I can not recommend this watch roll enough. Tim does not put his logo on anything that is not very well made. His standards are high enough for me.
Ответитьenjoy that brutally long flight in cattle class. yuck
ОтветитьWould like to see a review of some case hardened watches. I do not like scratches, would you accept damage to any other work of art
Ответить18,19,20 is comic con in nyc - it is huge and right up your alley :)
ОтветитьYes
ОтветитьCan't wait to see you in NYC Jody!
Cheers,
Richard
I'll see you on Sunday, and I hope you like NYC!
Be careful wearing anything expensive-looking in Manhattan or the subways, I think your Casio will get a lot of use lol.
And make sure you find a bagel, a slice of pizza, and a coffee, all from dedicated, local shops!
Of course, you're coming while comic con is in town, and I have to support my friend at a marathon. I told him he was being selfish. I said, "But it's Jodie from just one more watch!" Friends (and hotel reservations etc.). Well.. I hope to catch you on the next one! Have a good time and safe flights!
ОтветитьHave a safe journey and a great time in America Jody ,looking forward to hearing about it 😀
ОтветитьBin voyage Jodi
ОтветитьYeah, I've been loving that San Martin as well. Probably my second or third favorite pickup of the year, definitely behind the white Ascent and possibly behind the Forza small seconds.
ОтветитьI’ll be there for my tik tok channel!!! I hope I run into you, been a subscriber for years!! My followers love you
ОтветитьHaha I laughed at your GS reluctance to wear comments. Same as when I bought my new 4wd last year, I was so careful with it until I got that first little scratch/ding. Devastated when it happened but now much more comfortable driving it and more relaxed. Funny how the human mind works! 😅
ОтветитьNice selection there, Jody, covers the bases.
ОтветитьWind Up is going to be bonkers this year with Jody in the house!
ОтветитьOn the plane, tray in the fold up position, whacked my watch on that.
Ответитьyou're potentially gonna spend a lot of time adjusting those auto GMTs... Perhaps a chance to do a video on the better radio / BT updating options out there? Some sort of hideous Edifice or an Attesa that will be too expensive to but for review, maybe? I'll get my coat...
ОтветитьHave a great trip! Have you managed one in one out for Seiko and Casio?;)
ОтветитьWear the Casio and leave the watch roll free to transport the 3 watches you will want to purchase at the show. You know it makes sense! 😉
ОтветитьHey Jody. If I recall, you have a vintage watch that needs to be serviced. You really need to bring that and have Grand Central Watch restore it for you. They are the best, and they will be at Windup. Not for nothing, you should go over and see their storefront and their service area. It's worth the trip.
ОтветитьComing to the US? Yes. Yes, you are going to have at least one BIG meal. Prepare yourself.
ОтветитьWelcome to the States. I hope you and Mr. P have a great time. Wish I could go and meet you guys.
ОтветитьThat GS is absolutely gorgeous. And that’s a real nice touch on the chapter ring on the San Martin. It’s not uniformly patina’d and looks a lot more “authentic.” More brands should copy that! Love the look of the watch, hate the look of the bracelet (not a fan of beads of rice bracelets).
ОтветитьHave fun in my country sir! Take lots of pictures.
ОтветитьGood choices Jody. I always take my AE1200 when overseas, and can confirm the Vario straps are the bees knees for it.
Ответитьsafe travels and welcome to the US
ОтветитьGood luck safe travels. hope I can swing by to the event. Make sure you get a hotel early prices get scary in nyc
ОтветитьThe Vario strap for the Casio is high quality and looks great. There were spring bar issues on mine. Kept jumping out. Vario were helpful though and were ready to refund. Eventually I just cut off the quick release tabs from the Casio original band and used those. Possibly nothing more than a batch glitch. The strap is really good.
ОтветитьMy Grand Seiko SBGX261 came with half links. Yours didn't?
ОтветитьI love Nuu Yawk. I've been there a few times. Have fun and enjoy the moments in Time. And that Grand Seiko's a killer.
ОтветитьGreat sélection Jody, have a great trip.
ОтветитьJody, great choices... But... I can't help thinking you missed a trick.
If you go Casio, this could have been your chance to go with a radio controlled one, and experience the nerdy genius of connecting to the Northern Hemisphere's atomic clock.
Thanks Jody for sharing your experience with this GMT GS.
Looks like the usual pattern : man lusts for an high end model. Finally buys it. Leaves it in the box and keeps wearing cheaper and perkier watches. Eventually flips it and acquires more Erebus / Baltic / Islander.
Welcome to the US! Hope you love NYC… great city. 🏙️
ОтветитьIf you have the time, one of my favorite spots in Manhattan is McSorley's Ale House. A lot of history and charm, and good beer (their own) too.
Hope to see you at Wind Up. Cheers
Ugh, that's brutal, all that time in steerage… Safe journey and have an amazing time in the Big Apple!
Ответитьwhile in New York, try to get to Dumbo for a sunset: down under the Manhattan bridge overpass. It’s best view of the city by far, and there’s some great pizza right there.
ОтветитьWill be at the NYC Windup wearing my Erebus Malachite Ascent to welcome you all to the States! Safe travels.
