Been skating boarding for 10 months and i feel the same way " Battleing to survive, and not having fun " I am such a super beginner , and surfing caught my attention because of the swiimkng aspect ( i can't swim ) and the beach life ( never seen a beach ) and just the environment and wantiing to feel and enjoy nature ...Watching others experience ,has me happy for them, but i am still in a dark place .
ОтветитьInspirational thanks for this ❤
ОтветитьI love your humbleness and at the same time being confident when you rocked it! 🤟
ОтветитьOmg I love how well you documented the struggle and fun along the way. I resonate with every detail as a beginner. So authentically funny and heart warming to watch. Thank you!
Ответить4ft+ wave: shows a 1 foot wave
ОтветитьPlease eat some more food you look to weak and skinny
ОтветитьSurf lessons except for the high end ones where they film and everything are a waste of time. A quick google search would have helped you with your initial nose diving problem. Just angle your takeoff. Easier said than done for newbies but that’s the key.
Ответитьbeen out like 10 x, not 1 wave caught.
Ответитьits true surfing is an extremely long process. I started on a foamie and in 6 months I was already on a shortboard. Which was pretty quick for me, but I couldn't of done it without my dad who has been surfing for 40+ years. I'm now over a year into my surfing progression and I'm still getting better every week.
Ответить-_-'
ОтветитьI am a brand new surfer and I’ve always dreamed of being a surfer too! I relate to this video so hard! Thank you for sharing your journey! I think I will go back to this video many times over my learn to surf journey
ОтветитьLove that manouver at 10.21 totally awesome....more power to you on your journey.... all the very best from Ausralia
ОтветитьNo you didnt, but its a start
ОтветитьThat is not an intermediate level. Even not a pre-intermediate. Just check how intermediate surfers surf and you will get what I mean. You are still a beginner, but not a total "0"
ОтветитьWhere is the intermediate footage babe ?
ОтветитьLol at the mansplaining convention hosted in your comments section. Rad job going after it! Surfing is not an easy sport and super taxing on your body. Keep it up!
ОтветитьYou are so incredibly inspiring....if someone applies themselves to anything like you did they would probably be insured success. I want to learn to do intermittent fasting and I will use your motivation as a role model!
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your progress in datail! Really appreciating the summary and aftermath thoughts
ОтветитьYou're not a intermediate lol 😂 especially not in 3 months kinda disrespectful to real surfers like us who have been surfing since we were 10 you're a kook
ОтветитьI’m so glad I’m a natural I stood up on day 2
ОтветитьThat's one great video, I enjoyed watching it and it really shows how slow the progress in surfing is. Some details are wrong though:
1) that was not a bottom turn, that was just a very slight turn to the right. Bottom turn is when you go to the flats and then from the "bottom" go back to the pick for re-entry.
2) riding the pocket means you follow the pocket, not that you start in the pocket by coincidence and go in the opposite direction: to the peak, which was on the video
3) you've never ridden a smaller board: a fish, or a shortboard, riding huge foamies and fun-boards you can't consider yourself an intermediate
An intermediate can ride shortboards and do all basic maneuvers poorly: angled take-offs, bottom turns, re-entries, cutbacks. I am sorry, but that is far far from your level. You did a great progress from a complete newbie to a beginner-surfer, that can catch waves independently on a longboard on a good day. Still a massive work ahead to feel the real surfing. Anyway it's more about having fun than anything else, so as long as you enjoy it - it all that matters! Hope you didn't stop on this.
This is highly accurate. Surfing is all muscle memory and reflexes balancing on an unstable surface. No wave is the same so it’s incredibly hard to master not to mention paddling power building and early morning starts. It changes your life and is highly addictive. You really got to be in the water every day to see progression, which means livin in a beach town or city and having regular waves come in. Thanks for sharing, huge nostalgia hit for me.
ОтветитьYou are such a trooper ❤
Ответитьomg that was so engaging and fun thank u for all the tips esp the differentiation btwn mental skills and board skills :)
ОтветитьThe nerves on day 1😒😒😮💨 day 2🤕🤕🤕 day 3🤕🤕🦸day 4 🦸♂️🦸♀️🦸🙃
ОтветитьBabe I am so proud of you! Thank you for inspiring me, honestly you’re a natural your pop ups are on point!
ОтветитьWhat a kook. 4 foot plus wave. Yeah right 🤨😝
ОтветитьI see your Lenny nod to Blue Crush! Great little easter egg there! I love it!
ОтветитьNot cool! you dropped in on everyone on those tiny 1ft waves. That's really poor surf etiquette and nothing to be proud of. If you do continue trying to surf on your own or with a coach you will one day understand how far from being an intermediate surfer you are. I don't believe you've even experienced a proper wipe out. The ocean will humble you itself.
ОтветитьDropping in on the paddle boarder was hilarious.
Ответить4ft plus wave, CAP
ОтветитьIn hoping to learn soon when I take my first trip to Hawaii
Ответитьwhen i started to learn my dad called me ND because i nose dived so much
ОтветитьLol, that is not a 4 foot wave. Try 2
ОтветитьI loved this video. Do you still surf?
ОтветитьThis video makes me feel SOOOO much better about myself! At about day 12 trying to learn on my own, I decided to start taking lessons.
ОтветитьShe learned how to stand on a giant foam board and go straight on little white waters. She now needs to learn how to surf which will take her around a year of going 2 times a week for 52 weeks then she will be surfing very poorly but still surfing as a kook but if she keeps it up for 3 years or so then she can be called a surfer but that's about it.
She has a lot more to experience, she has experienced about 3% maybe 4% of what surfing is. Sorry but that's the honest truth. Keep going for a couple years then you will really be surfing.
Good stuff and progress but you're still very far off being an intermediate.
ОтветитьA second lesson they could've taught you where to position yourself to catch unbroken waves and how to read waves.
ОтветитьThanks for keeping it real girl!! Keep going you got this!!! :)
ОтветитьAmazing video! You're great! The idea, your personality, the editing. Everything was done well! Props.
Ответитьgreat video! really well made. Although it looks hard this encouraged me to start learning too. I'm mentally preparing myself to look silly and just try to have fun in the process.
ОтветитьHey, Just found your video and would like to say big thankyou for making it, very informative for someone just starting out and inspirational to show what can be achieved with dedication
ОтветитьFinally a video where the title of the video is real. It acctually showes progress, the ups and downs from the puppil itself. Plus it shows the begginner must start with a foamy long, not a short board., congrats!!
ОтветитьLove it!!
ОтветитьGreat video!! Motivating!! Good to see someone who feels like me 😂😁🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 GOD JOB! Impressed! 🏆🥇❣️
