Meanwhile MFers in call of duty laying 200 rounds out at a time and not burning up.
Ответитьhell yeah brother
ОтветитьLoctite those screws on the Midwest Handguard, they are the connection between the handguard and the metal c-clamp the bolt goes through that attached to the rifle.
ОтветитьWhere can I get the wide handgaurd with the side mount rail?
ОтветитьThe screws holding the handguards tightly to the gun are necessary if you intend to run an IR laser and need it to hold zero.
ОтветитьThe benefit of using some kind of rail cover is when you have to rest the rifle on rocks n shit it will eventually chew up the mlok slots. Then those burrs turn into little daggers that will rip the shit out of your hands as you handle the rail. I prefer the Magpul Type 2 rail covers on the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions, still leaves room for the air to work around and cool the barrel. There will be a slight gap on the 45degree rail slots in between the magpul cover sections. The magpul ones are also textured perfectly, wet or gloved hands will be able to grip that nice and tight. And if they get beat up on the rocks, its the plastic taking the hits and you can replace that if needed.
Great info! Like the series.
Thanks for the video and all the information. Currently running the cheaper AC wide guard with HK bipod until I can find an original or POF Wide boy!
ОтветитьThanks for the video and break down on the hand guards.

ОтветитьI see you are showing off the coveted and elusive bipod. I have been searching in vain for a year to get ahold of one, but cannot. Any suggestions sir?
ОтветитьI recently got me a PTR A3S, and i've been thinking of wich handguard to get. My first thought was the Spuhr, since it's made here, and also used by some of our armed forces (Sweden), and it's also cheaper to get me a Spuhr than a Midwest Industries for example. Spuhr is made of 7075 alloy so it's really tough and can take a lot of use and abuse. The AC Unity also seem like a nice option, but i'm not sure where to get those, unless i can order one straight from the factory in Bosnia. I was issued an AK4/G3 clone as a secondary rifle when i did my military service, mostly for blank firing during exercises since there was so much blank ammo in stock the army needed to get rid of 😄 It's a nice rifle, heavy enough to use as an anchor, but simple, reliable and accurate. Very nice info, i'm subscribing 👍😀
ОтветитьDid you install the hand guard without any issues?? I just got a ptr91 and im looking into midwest industries parts
ОтветитьI feel your pain with that damn set screw on the MI handguard; the PTR91 railed handguard is the same way. It's too bad, because like the Midwest Industries one, the PTR railed HG is actually really nice, but I'm not dealing with loctiting that damn screw every time I put the HG on or take it off. Why is it so hard for these companies to just use the factory pushpin? God damn!
The only thing I can add is, although they are much harder to find now, the Brugger and Thomet G3 handguards are actually pretty good too, and not too heavy (heavier than the Spuhr one though). The B&T uses the factory pushpin, and has an adjustable collar at the front to fit to your rifle. The bottom rail cannot be removed, but it comes with a couple rail panels for the side and a wrench to install them.
