Rise of Empires was fabulous. Did you watch the second series the Vlad Dracul’s rebellion against Mehmet II
Ответитьyou should definitly watch SIN LIMITES (6 episodes about Magellan's voyage), LA PESTE (2 seasons of 6 episodes each about the plague in Seville, Spain) and CONQUISTADORES ADVENDUM (8 episodes about the first 30 years after the discovery of the Americas), and one of the best historical movies, not a series, Alatriste! (although there's also a series called Alatriste but I didn't watch it yet)
ОтветитьI would suggest The Chosen for it's Historical Accuracy showing us the in and outs of First BC living in a time of Roman Occupation as a dynamic teacher begins his rounds.
ОтветитьUyanis: Büyük Selcuklu????
ОтветитьMagnificent century? Wounded love?
ОтветитьCompletely agree about international films.
Ответитьawesome....I will watch...I can't take any more western wokenesssss....
ОтветитьI used to like Korean tv series, but after watching the Alchemy of Soul both 1 and 2, I lost my appetite for it. It's ok if the scriptwriters to kill one of the main character but to replace it with another person with storyline that's too shallow, was for me the last straw. It seems they will try to poke where it will gets the highest rating by compromising the storyline. I've endured the endless flashbacks as can be seen on Korean series even its already redundant, but replacing then not making clear if that main character is dead or what for the next series or not is just the big turn off. no more Korean tv series for me at this time😂🤣🤣
ОтветитьPlease say the names of the shows/movie slower & leave name on screen longer. Thank you.
ОтветитьCould you list all the shows so when you do these videos I have trouble remembering the titles and all by the end of it and all. I'd really appreciate it a lot of these shows you show look really Great and I would definitely like to see them.
ОтветитьKingdom isn't a historical show. It is purely fictional, other shows might be based and have some fact behind it but Kingdom doesn't.
Example, Yanxi palace, they were real people who existed, the Emperor etc. (one of my all time fav c-drama)
and My Country, k-drama which I didn't expect to be on this list (personally not my choice)
but Kingdom, kings and prince. extras, characters etc are all Fictional. even time period is mixed and mashed.
I would go with Six Flying Dragons, K-drama which was a big hit, and is very historical in characters and big plot. (it is virtually same time period as My Country yet
is rated one of the best by koreans and internationally)
El Cid and Ertogrul are great shows...I had a great time watching them, and I love them both. Barbarians is pretty good too.
ОтветитьIt would help if you added a list of the shows you have reviewed in this video. It make it MUCH easier for people to then find and watch them rather than having to pick through the video..
ОтветитьI agree with your selection. I have not seen the 500 ep. show...don’t think I could sit thru that many.
Kdrama and Cdrama are my fav.
Bride of War. True story of a Welsh soldier captured in France and who escapes in Poland and joins the partisans. In Welsh, English, German, French and Polish.
ОтветитьI am sick and tired of people being shoved into historical dramas to be woke. Instead of this make shows about different cultures instead of only western with wrong people. Eg Netflix is doing a Greek god show with British Zeus and black posiden
ОтветитьNo Kings War (aka The Legend of Chu and Han)?
ОтветитьWouldn't it better if you guys can include some of the videos downloading link?
ОтветитьOttoman îs a great show
ОтветитьI really enjoyed barbarians
ОтветитьWatched all of Dirilis: Ertugrul.
It’s good, but be warned, it is based on about 10% real known history with a slanted Islamic Nationalist fable filling in the remaining 90%.
It’s good fun. Just keep in mind that it does preach the cause of Islam to you, whitewash the Turks even while it’s celebrating revenge violence and jihadism against infidels as virtues, depict Western powers of the time as evil even when they’re on the defensive, and show Christians venerating Greek pagan Gods (yes, really!).
The most educational part of watching the show was realizing the way that the Middle Eastern audiences it was created for, see the world (many in fact think that the show is actually real history). For that cultural exposure alone, I would recommend it wholeheartedly.
Check out series about Isabella of Spain, in Spanish. Forget exact title but it was really good. I think its just called Isabella. Spanish subtitles move really fast! Whew!
ОтветитьArthadal chronicles missing here
ОтветитьI feel like Magnificent Century and Magnificent Century: Kosem are missing here. On the other hand I can't figure out where I can watch Dirilus Etrugal, because I have wanted to.
ОтветитьB6v
ОтветитьI have watched all of these.
ОтветитьI’ve also been getting into foreign historical cinema lately. Americans just don’t seem to care about historical cinema like some other countries do.
The only show I’ve watched on your list was El Cid, and I thought it was pretty good. I was very happy with the historical background of the show. They did a good job setting the scene of 11th century iberia. They mention and show several historically accurate battles, sieges, kings, and queens. I’m not a huge fan of the actor playing El Cid, nor am I a huge fan of the way they did the females of the show, but on the whole I thought it was well worth watching. Not too many shows out there focusing on the early reconquista.
What is no 7 ?
ОтветитьThe Chinese real Historical series are the most I enjoyed.
1- Qin Empire (3 parts)
2- Kings' War
3- the 3 Kingdoms ( the best ever) based onnthe romance of the 3 kingdoms
Where is no.6?
ОтветитьGreat point. For the past few years, I've had so low expectations from Hollywood "historical" shows, that I can't even bother to even watch them anymore.
ОтветитьSecond … well, third really 😆🤣
ОтветитьFirst
