I do love the idea of transhodan. Hacker is by default non binary in the remake too, which means system shock is a very 🏳️‍⚧️ series

I loved the first system shock, I think the thing with music being based on the level of SHODANs control and enemy alert levels was so cool and I didn't know about it until you mentioned it in the other video but when you said that I was blown away realizing how much I actually had felt it when I had played, the change in atmosphere was much different when you first got to a new level and every turn was dangerous and every corner unexplored, opposed to when you killed the guys around, read some stuff, shot some cameras, listened to some stuff, found things, backtracked. etc. and knew where things were a little better only for SHODAN to say some snarky shit and music amps up...

Just finished the remake and came back to this video, absolutely worth playing

I love that Mr. Diego kept his deal of a military grade implant, instead of, you know, shoot the convicted criminal in the head after we hacked SHODAN to cover up the hacking and illegal stuff he was involved with.

Why do the troptimum people want the ethical constraints removed? It seems strange to me, like they should have expected the most obvious result

Watching this after starting the remake. The final product is great and I am very thankful that they drastically cut back the blue that was seen in the demo. The environment looks much more colorful and distinct now. I’m hoping we get a remake review soon like we did for dead space!

There's something... weirdly wrong with the remake. Beyond the music- or the lack thereof- and beyond the lackluster weapons, there's something wrong with this version of Shodan. She feels less malevolent, less... present. I can't think of a single time a character's declared "I am ME", and it hasn't immediately made me cringe.

The remake definitely lived up and was worth the wait.

It's kinda scary/amazing to recognize the locations Manda is in the original playing only the remake, like "oh, it's the Alpha Quadrant at Research". It's like the game was made today and there is a retro version of it in the video.

funnily enough, the boo robbing you in mario kart music is one of the banginest bangers in the soundtrack. Just started playing the remake 2 days ago and I really miss the OG music at some times.

Who's here after the remake dropped? I'm loving it! Just cyberspace is still mid and final Shodan showdown is weak. Honestly wouldnt have minded just pressing a button or interacting with a computer. Fantastic game tho im going to complete it 100% its so smooth everywhere else
