Security Cameras Hacked

This has happened to me over 10 plus years in Texas

The US government hacks into any security cameras - besides other creeps - oh yes - the US government has many creeps and worse.

This is not bad though we are al like children that's why we need to be surveillanced

Knowing that parents are not same gender, but he keeps saying baby and I don't know if it's a boy or a girl, what gender the baby you curious people are thinking?

I thought they could show the video blurred though instead of not showing it.

I have a camra at home, I don’t see if moving or noises the scary thing is that I see it every day moved in a difrent position

Why they put it in the news ? Every guy in my country, who is more than 10 years old know how to connect to not secured cameras. It can do every braindead kid that playing Fortnite in 2 clicks

MY ring videodoorbell was HACKED! AND MY ring security system. It is still hacked as we speak.

I would hear weird voices at weird hours of the night/early morning coming from outside my front door. Scared to death thinking that there was someone trying to break into my condo, I would open the door and no one would be there. This went on for weeks, then months. Until I figured out what It was, I called the police twice to make a report, There was nothing they could do since they had no description of a witness and no lead other than me telling them I was hearing voices at night. I was so scared I would go 2 to 3 days without any sleep, Missed work because I was sleep deprived, and scared to death that I had a stocker creeping up at my front door all through the night, talking whispering and breathing heavily.
One night I was awoken by a man’s voice coming from outside my front door. . . I checked the peephole and there was no one there. I slowly open the door And stood there.
Watching and listening, out of view of the camera. That’s when I Heard a man breathing heavily. I realized the voice was coming from my ring video doorbell!!!

During the day I would sometimes hear a man coughing or breathing. When I would log into my Ring app to check my previous video footage,
Or vide footage timeline. I would come to find out my video footage was GONE!!
It was manually deleted which is impossible, unless I am the one who Physically deletes it. I would also have videos that were completely blacked out, and my live views were replaced with Old footage! Old footage of outside my door. It took me a while to figure out the live views weren’t live at all!!! when I replayed them and Turned the volume all the way up, the sounds in every saved live video were identical. This applied to live views that I would check daily going back for up to two weeks.
I decided to bring the ring video doorbell inside my home. I put black tape over the camera lens and microphone. Open my Ring app, ran a live view and turned the volume on way up and left it running for hours and hours at a time, even over night. The next night around 4 AM, Sounds started coming from the video doorbell That I left on my night table.
I picked it up and listened. I heard a man breathing very loudly. Every time I would make any type of noise or movement he would make an effort to hold his breath to disguise the fact that someone may be listening to my every move. I would hear him coughing, clearing his throat, yawning. The worst by far, was the breathing. Not the normal breathing I would hear. But late at night I would hear heavy fast paced disturbing types of breathing.....This would happen every night. I would also be awoken constantly throughout the night to noises this man was making including I would also be awoken constantly throughout the night to noises this man was making.!including what hi concluded to be the man who hacked all my ring devices, snoring very loudly through my ring video doorbell.... every night.
I don’t think he realized I was listening,
Just like he was listening to me, almost 24 hours a day.
I decided to check my video timeline and go over 24 hours of previous footage. to see what I caught when I left the live view running when I was not home.
This is when I discovered that ALL my live footage , throughout the entire night while I was asleep, this hacker was listening. For more than 12 hours at a time!!!! He would even fall asleep in front of his computer which he used to hack my camera since I would leave it on overnight and every night I would hear loud snoring. I decided that this was enough and I called the company ring, and spoke to two supervisors and three customer service representatives. They couldn’t do anything to fix the issue. Nor could they offer any security protection or solutions. All they could offer was a 30% discount on another ring doorbell.
I was so scared that someone was breaking into my home I had to get all the locks changed. I was sleep deprived, almost lost my job. It was hell. I’m glad i Decided to silently stand near my front door 20 minutes straight one night just to discover that all those creepy sounds and noises were coming from the doorbell and not someone who is stocking me which would have been so much worse.
Whoever hacked my ring video doorbell hacked my Ring app that controls the doorbell and hacked my ring security system which protects my entire home.
This eventually led to the hacker hacking ALL my electronic devices. My Apple Watch, two iPhones two laptops and of course my ring video doorbell and my entire security system. I even had money stolen out of my bank account. I had a very strong password and I would change it frequently. I don’t know how it happened but apparently from what I’ve researched, the ring video doorbell I purchase was a first generation model which lacked security features compared to the newer models which made it easier to be hacked.
If you decide to get a Security camera, or any type of video monitoring system. make sure you change your passwords constantly, make sure you have a firewall protecting your Internet and you can even go further and purchase anti-hack software for your Internet and devices.

What this family went through and my heart goes out to them. Because I went through it too. for more than four months. And I thought I was going crazy.
I was scared to death, wouldn’t it wouldn’t sleep, I was so unhealthy. Not to mention the stress of knowing that someone is listening to everything you say and do for more than 3 months.


Your home is supposed to be your safe place. When that no longer applies, it changes everything, including your sanity. Keep your home safe. Protect your loved ones, and most importantly protect yourself.

It was so easy to log into new hardware the first time using a default password. Now I can't factory reset my hardware remotely if I don't have their stupid unique password memorized. Thanks to the idiots complaining about their own stupidity.

Keep the cameras pointed at doors and outside your house. Don't use subscription services.

Thanks to ABC to expose these evil activities, even though US citizens who do not use security camera at home, those hackers out there still use hi- technology, surveillance cameras on street, satellite , wireless online like smart TV , to hack....

Probably that Russian spy ship off the east coast has something to do wit it?? Who knows...

The problem is these companies put this crap out and don't consider hackers...morons...don't trust technology....go off the grid....cover your laptop camera..probably spying on u now..Personally I think all devices with wifi should be smart enough to let u know someone is communicating back to you on your own stuff.....technology is at a place now that this should be possible real time. It might even be available but the govt probably uses wifi to spy so they wont release the technology..

That's why I'm not buying wifi cameras
