in this country they would open the chest with that cardiac arrest stab wound. obviously lack of resources there
Ответитьdoes she not realise her mask isnt covering her nose lol
ОтветитьI wish he had given a little of the history behind the J’bg Trauma Unit - it was called ‘Accident Service’ until the early 1980s, and the Trauma Unit was formally established around 1983 by Prof Kenneth Boffard.
It was then the only Level 1 Trauma Unit (US Society of Surgeons’ classification) on the African continent.
He started the Air Ambulance Service (known as Flight for Life) around the same time - I was the Chief Flight Doctor for 1996-2001.
Should have gave more credit to the nurses
ОтветитьSo very sad, not even working equipment. Terrible😢

ОтветитьWaiting time in a trauma unit (with suspected stroke!) is anywhere between 23 and 27 HOURS! Not in private healthcare, though - this is a reality in public health care. I am surprised that these horrible conditions are never exposed to the world!
ОтветитьThey have to get the necessary tools for this hospital. The white doctor with that dam hammer was literally struggling becuz she didn't have the appropriate tool. This country is provided with a lot of aid each year what the hell are these African leaders doing?
ОтветитьDark tablea Aquino terrado cocoa ...
Ответитьthank god I am not a doctor .... what a miserable sad workplace
ОтветитьGod Bless our doctors THEY ARE VERY Essential ❤🙏🏾…
ОтветитьI AM HERE IN ILIGAN CITY ,,,, i notice there are a lot of eyes observing me while im sending this message

Have not been in hillbrow for. 60 years Then it was more or less safe
ОтветитьI don’t know that and I live in South Africa. But here they are responsible for 90 percent of the violence murders rapes and every other assault
ОтветитьBut as a south African I am Impressed with what I see !
ОтветитьAnd in these hospitals. The docters and nurses are never safe. People come in to finished off the stabbed people and attack the staff also come in to rob them
ОтветитьDaughter worked in trauma. And saw screwdrivers sticking out of back axe in head Stabb wounds. None bothered her then small boy came in drowned and they tried to resuscitate him but could not ! She came home in tears !
ОтветитьI had a friend in the UK and he came to South Africa to work on the trauma unit at barra , he said that he. Got more experience there than ever before !
ОтветитьSo much quieter than the U.S.
ОтветитьI think it’s very dangerous what the A&E consultant has done. You can elicit tamponade physiology clinically without even need of an echo. Then smashing the sternum with chisel, will condemn that pt to prolonged hospital stay with significant morbidity. The pt had no indication of a median sternotomy and may have been done for purposes of filming. Jiggly saw is also readily available.
ОтветитьJust seems brutal to be awake while you're getting a tube into the lung. Should have the paramedic done a 3 sided occlusive?
ОтветитьYou don’t see stabbing and gunshots in Kenya? Riiiight. You probably see explosions and genital mutilations.
ОтветитьWOW BARBARIC
ОтветитьThat's why death is worth so much money because some people cant live with each other you dont just kill the victim you kill his family as well
ОтветитьProof gun control doesn’t stop violence. Sounds like they suffer from the similar corruptions of many South American countries. People are desperate to make money but don’t have many ways to make it b
ОтветитьWhat’s worse the knife or the chisel?
A hospital line that should have better tools
Hearts are amazing
ОтветитьWhat is the song in the beginning?!
ОтветитьWELCOME TO THE NEW SOUTH AFRICA...
ОтветитьSo many of the injuries coming in involve Alcohol? Maybe its time to tighten laws
ОтветитьSo what I’ve learned is if you get stabbed, you go to the hospital to get stabbed some more.
ОтветитьOmg i did one rotation as this hospital for 3 months , amazing experience. Currently the cheif resident at Mass General.
ОтветитьThe second patient, nobody mentioned how many shocks were given neither did they show. Just CPR and no shocks and pronounced dead?
Ответитьthank you . this is very interesting documentary . great team .
ОтветитьGet these ppl some better equipment
ОтветитьAll those stabbing a would be gunshot wounds if it was America like there guns are harder to get
ОтветитьAppalachia in the US is poorer than many black areas where the murder rate is much higher. Culture and genetic differences have plenty to do with it as well. Some very revealing research in genetic differences published in the last 10 years...obviously not very publicized, but its factual to say Africans on average have less activity in the frontal cortex and cerebral volume is smaller.
Ответить15 years for possession of a firearm...thank God I live in the USA, where the second amendment says we have the right to bear arms.
ОтветитьThis is exciting but sad at the same time.
ОтветитьThat is a public hospital tho
ОтветитьOooooof this is scary I don’t think I’m going to any violent city’s I’ll probably get ko by everyone
ОтветитьLove the white demo drawing on top he shows us. Helps to know where all are stuff lays:) This series is very watchable
ОтветитьAS LONG AS YOU REPAIR THE BODY TO FUNCTION THEN THE PERSONS SOLE CAN RETURN TO IT IF YOU JUSG LEAVE IT UN FIXED THE SOUL WILL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO PASS OVER NO MATTER HOW LONG THE PERSON IS DEAD IT DONT MATTER AS LONG AS YOU CAN FIX THE BODY ENOUGH EVERYONE COULD COME BACK UNLESS THE BODY IS IN DISSREPAIR
ОтветитьThe way these doctors are excited about those brutal injuries 😂
ОтветитьProfessor Moeng. The best indeed. I was assistng him in the operation room a month ago. very great.
