Dirty Dancing will always remind me of my dear departed wife. We were married that year and went on to have almost 30 wonderful years together. Patrick Swayze was in my view one of the best actors of his generation and I've no problem saying this, one of the most handsome Men in film. Rest in peace Patrick and thank you.

My favorite is North & South, the mini-series he made just before Dirty Dancing made him ultra famous. It's soapy but his talent and charisma elevated it above the source material.

I miss his essence as a celebrity because he only encouraged and seemed a decent person and man.
