Helios goes through a lot of mutations rather than evolutions. At one point he loses nearly all organics and becomes a mech. The sanity of Helios is pretty underrated imo

Honestly the first part of Mechtanium Surge had insane potential, showing all of Dan’s flaws was very interesting but also Drago still having his back the entire way through. Also giving Marucho a lot of authority and putting Dan in his place was great character development.

I love how in Helios new design, he’s looking more natural than the last time we saw him. Kinda gives me the idea that Spectra is trying to restore Helios as much as he can, without stripping away the power. Even though Helios asked to become cyborg, it was still inhumane what Spectra did, its like hes trying to atone now. After all, he was always a friend to the Bakugan, even though his methods were questionable

I don't think I've ever properly acknowledged how much of a pain it must've been to animate the battles in this series. The bakugan designs are all so detailed and massive and the fact that they kept animating them in 2d all the way through the series is insanely impressive
