Jesus! I wasn't expecting The French Connection to be so spectacular! Gene Hackman's always so electrifying. One of the greatest films to have blessed the world of cinema, period.

Don’t make films like this anymore 🤩
ОтветитьThe original Dirty Harry
Ответитьin this movie gene hackman really looked a lot like james gandolfini (tony soprano)
ОтветитьFilm making that was ahead of it's time.
ОтветитьRIP William Friedkin.
ОтветитьRIP William Friedkin, your life's work was amazing and legendary, has been loved by many generations and will be loved by many more to come.
ОтветитьRest in Peace Mr. William Friedkin
ОтветитьRest in Peace to William Friedkin. He directed great films like this one, The Exorcist and Rules of Engagement, the war drama that had similar vibes to A Few Good Men
ОтветитьMr Friedkin R.I.P
ОтветитьRest In Peace Mr William Friedkin ( Director of The French Connection)
ОтветитьStop enough
ОтветитьRIP Fernando Rey (September 20, 1917 – March 9, 1994), aged 76

RIP Roy Scheider (November 10, 1932 – February 10, 2008), aged 75
RIP William Friedkin (August 29, 1935 – August 7, 2023), aged 87
You will be remembered as legends.
The setting of this movie is a perfect storm of urban decay and now classic cars. This can never be replicated.
ОтветитьThe best part about older movies like this is the background scenario, as in the cars, the clothing people wore, ect.
Films like this allow you to study history...and if 'clip' the right scenes, you can almost create a museum.
I just want to see the car chasing the train 😂🚂
ОтветитьTCM version missing famous pursuit scene?
ОтветитьIt's French Connection night, Bella Queen 🤤❤️🔥👑
ОтветитьThey could let AI enhance old films to crisp 4k
ОтветитьWhen trailers were trailers.
ОтветитьRip sammy Wilson 1934 2022
ОтветитьTerribly boring movie. An alcoholic hovel bound cop who is just obsessed with collaring the bad guys. Give me a break.
ОтветитьThis film is stellar from start to finish. That best picture Oscar was well deserved!
ОтветитьThis movie sort of introduced America to the unseemly side of NY in the early 70s, which other than some obscure movies , America hadnt seen since the Man With The Golden Arm, and that was heavily coded. Its interesting that American Cinema followed Gene Hackmans' career path in the 70s. From the gritiness of the French connection and Deux to the introspective less gritty Conversation to the glitz and fantasy of 1978s Superman. Miss you Gene, they don't make actors like you these days.
ОтветитьLove this flick! Classic af
ОтветитьCamus... DCN
ОтветитьA Great Movie.
One of my favorites
Is this movie based on gene gotti?
ОтветитьWhere’s Batman when you need him?!?!
ОтветитьMemorable to me for having really piss poor audio.
ОтветитьTrumbull , Kirby was like the film--jimmy stevens 1533 merrick 4807
ОтветитьThis is one of my favorite movies.
ОтветитьWhat a great movie
ОтветитьGreat movie. But damn, this trailer is fantastic! The gritty gumshoe narrator, slick edits, tense score; did Freidkin himself make it? Loved it
ОтветитьAn example of all that is wrong with police. The idea that this was presented as an example of a "good" cop" is an insult to police. This is the kind of cop that's get people killed and unconvicted.
ОтветитьTruly superb film
HAHAHAHA!!!
Ответитьbumm a fejbe...
ОтветитьBOTH ACTORS; (ALL ACTORS) THIS WHOLE MOVIE WAS GREAT!
ОтветитьAm I the only one that thought the back to back shots of Popeye driving on Stillwell Avenue, 86th street, and New Utrecht avenue and cutting to the train back and forth was unintentionally funny? XD This is not indicting that whether this was a classic or not. It's a classic no question, but all old movies had that unintentional silliness. I don't know why, but I think it's because this was 1971, so like any other old movie, and movies before this, there was no technological advances yet
ОтветитьGrande gene Hackman !!!
