Norwegian knit and purl, except you're holding the left forefinger up, as opposed to down the Norwegian way; such a nice result when doing Norwegian knit and purl. I've learnt it on Arne & Carlos's channel. Really fun way to do the stitches❤. Thank you, the tension of your stitches look very uniform and beautiful, and I love the yarn you've used for the demonstration🙂
ОтветитьIt looks great but it is too challenging for me. I will stick with combination knitting. Thanks for sharing your video!
Ответитьisnt it a norwegian purl&
Ответить❤ excellent tutorial!! Just what I need for my hats. Thank you so much. 🎉 This is a game changer.
ОтветитьYou have explained this so beautifully!🌸Why are you not FAMOUS!!!?????
Many thanks!

Hi. Do you have a video for rib on straight needles ? Thank you
ОтветитьAmazing. Can you explain how you set it up to get the stitch mounts alternating then how you switch back to have them all the same for stockinette stitch
ОтветитьAmazing! It sounds so easy, but looks fantastic! I'm about to add ribbing to a sweater and will use this! Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you so very much for sharing this technique!!! I have not seen the combination method where you knit regular knits in front leading leg and purl through the back leading leg. Your way of decrasing the gap/yarn on 1x1 ribbing is very easy and fast for me since I knit continental Norwegian style like you do for your knits but I struggle with finding a good way to purl. I can do the Norwegian style purling but it takes longer and can be very tiring on my hands. Does this type of knit/purl have a name?
ОтветитьLovely
ОтветитьDoes this only work in the round?
ОтветитьThis reminds me of a Norwegian purl, are you familiar with Norwegian purl and do you think this purl technique resembles it? Do you knit Eastern or Combination? it looks to me like the leading leg of your purl stitch is in the back (and I think in Western, it is in the front). I am trying to analyze what you are doing because this is the nicest 1x1 ribbing I have ever seen! Are you holding your yarn double?
ОтветитьThis is amazing, I will never purl any other way
Ответитьgreat video with clear explanations. could you explain the use of this technique to make 2x2 ribs flat (back and forth). Thanks for your help.
ОтветитьExcellent! Thank you so much!
ОтветитьCan't wait to try this technique on my next ribbed project! Thank you. Great video & clear instructions!
ОтветитьIt's similar to a twisted purl stitch. Hard for me to follow because I don't knit continental.
I'll stick to knitting in the back of the knit stitch.
