Phantom slash is one im currently using, made a build around it with not that many buffs, and its shredding like crazy, I played a Co-op against fire giant and it did roughly 50-55k damage (ofcourse with a combo of hits)

For buffs, just golden vow, bloodflame and FGMS, also very viable for PvP, handled a gank 3v1 with it

If they sped up godslayer greatswords AOW (queens flame or whatever) it would be so good bc the damage is insane. But it takes so long 😢

I love:
- the shield canon because... hell, this is a freaking canon AND a shield!
- dynasty finesse: yes this one deserve more love. The weapon art is stylish as hell and excellent in proper hands. Best rapier move in the game.
- cursed blood slice: love the skill, only has one major flaw: tied to an ugly weapon
- Echolocaid blade: telekinesis spining on a greatsword? Win me up every day
- Flaming strike: because I have a soft spot for flaming swords, and this also very strong. Also sekiro vibes.
- Spinning slash and double slash: 100% agree. Beauty and effectiveness in simplicy. Cut them to pieces all in fluidity. Friend of every swordman. Looks even more cool with bloodflame
- Lion's claw: because I call it by its true name: Strike of Artorias

Weapons arts I wish to have see:
- sacred ground strike (not the name, I know, can't remember): two strong strike to bring foes dawn follow by all those nice tracking golden missiles. Delight for the sense
- Orovis's sword: Deal some massive damage and stagger, wreck poses and that shining spinning looks beautiful
- Hound's greatsword: best cleave available. And quite deceptive too.
- Godfrey's axe: combine Hoarah louh seismic blast with some strong successions of attack. Bit heavy but wreck everything
- Marika's hammer: absent because cheesy? of course, but let's face it: this one is incredibly satisfying.
- Waterfowl dance: may not be the strongest, but style is unbeatable
- Black flame tornado: a bit risky to activate sure, but definitely worth the price. Unleash true hell.

Lion's Claw on Prelate's hammer done wonders vs malenia, just spamming the skill breaks her stance pretty quickly

I have to disagree with the Sword of Night & Flame -> They did nerf it, then they buffed it, and it is absolutely terrifying (in PvE at any rate). not as OP as it originally was, but still is pretty damn strong

I can definitely verify Flaming Strike = da bomb. I was playing a pure STR (Sauron) build with fire-affinity heavy mace. This was my go-to ash of war for that. Although Eruption also worked thematically. Was fun :D ... kind of want to do it again now.

Deaths Poker has to be the easiest playthrough I've ever done. Giant Hunt on the Flamberge helped me defeat Malenia on my RL 1 character but still took 10 hours to beat her😭

Sword of Night and Flame is still my go to when I cant beat something.

I'd also mention Piercing Fang, I am running Knight's Greatsword with Flaming Strike and Claymore with Piercing Fang, and it's being a blast...

Is Carian Grandeur a cheese move? It is way OP if you get good at picking the right time to use it.

Crazy you don't include Square Off in anywhere in this list. There are times when I almost feel like I'm cheating because of how incredibly strong it is. People used to rave about how strong FotR was pre-nerf. Square Off does the same stance damage for a fraction of the FP cost. You could literally clear every area in the game with only that, and you'd still never run out of FP.

Oh, and did I mention that the SO R1 doubles as a guard break and can break open even a Fingerprint Shield with a single attack?

It may not look fancy, but don't be deceived. It's easily S tier and massively underrated by the community.

i'd say Frost stomp is a good pressure tool, you don't use it purely for damage at least in a PVP setting, and for PVE its still very helpful for farming as demonstrated, i would also reccomend the black knife as an honorable mention for PVE since anything that can put down Malenia without a fuss is worth at least that, it isn't super viable in PVP since its easy to dodge but the black knife is worth while if you enjoy co-oping and helping people clear the harder bosses in the game.

Dude the sword of night and flame, while being nerded to all hell, still does massive damage and does the same poise damage. If you use the flame part only you can't even feel the nerf.
