Strong Smooth Fishing Knot for Braid to Mono or Fluorocarbon Leader

Iv been tying this knot using a bimmany twist fornthe double for about 25 years. Never once did i think about tying it this way. You have just saved me from ever having tie a bimmany twist again. This is a bloody great strong knot. Iv never had it break on me.

Can't for the life of me figure this out even though it should be super easy. Whatever you do with your hands when you replace them on the line is where I must be missing something. Absolute zero success with this one for me. (New to fishing)

When I tighten the knot it pulls thru every time. Is there something I’m missing ?

Think this work on 85lb braid to 150lb mono or fluorocarbon? It looks like it’s only useful for about 20lb mono or fluorocarbon. I’d rather get feedback before loosing a fish that big.

Yea do like. Ive been doing this for an hour and every single time i go to synch it down. It just pulls apart. I think theres a step missing or im missing a few brain cells

I'll have to give this a shot. I'm so used to tying a double-uni, for my braid to flouro, that I never considered anything else. I know I would dearly LOVE to find a way to use a long leader....say 5-10ft. A long enough leader to get the braid completely out of the srike-zone. I don't like just using a 12" flouro leader, and, don't like spooling 50yrs onto my spool, because eventually the line memory flouro is known for, all but destroys it.....especially, on spinning reels. But, if this flows nicely through the eyelits then it will be a GOD-send.

What am I doing wrong? I’m using the line and do everything right and my fluorocarbon line just slides right through so if I ever had a fish I’m 100000000% losing it
