"Jabberwocky" by Lewis Carroll is a genius nonsense poem that I loved reading when I was a young child. In this piece, I tried to vividly depict the moods I feel throughout the course of the poem through music: creepy, mysterious, adventurous, heroic, and fantastical. I was super happy with how the performance went, thanks to my colleagues: Alan Truong, conductor; Colby Kleven, narrator; Dylan Hamm, concertmaster; and the rest of the Double Vision Orchestra.

I usually post compositions and performances on my second channel: @JamesPreucilViolistComposer (you can find my first string quartet and a new solo viola piece posted there recently!) but I thought this work fits into the content style of Viola King because of its accessibility and simple concept. Of course, there are also some excellent viola moments throughout.

I'm excited to see what everyone thinks!
