If Opeth released shit like this at the beginning of their career they would've 'never made it' . Forgettable and boring.

The vocals remindeds me of some Alice in Chains

It's always entertaining when the meth / crack addicts complain about clean vocals and whine about no more razor gargling!

I saw and heard Opeth live before they changed their course, when they did, I changed too my path, I have forgotten about them ever since, even though I tried to listen to them they didn't sound like them anymore, so I looked elsewhere and on I found what I was looking for, no, they weren't opeth anymore.

"watch your eager tongue.." that sole part reminded me of how bands should sound. This song sounds like it was recorded a loong time ago, like 40 years ago or so.

The most overrated rock or whatever to me. Boring. Repetitive. Anticlimactic.

To me OPETH is the best when they get really jazzy, be it slow and melancholy moody or fusion-like and technical. "Sorceress" is one of my favorite OPETH songs as it sounds really 70s proggy with that fusion jazz intro riff arrangement, and then you have these 90s sounding alternative metal choruses and chugga-chugga parts, perfectly balanced. It's like a compilation of heavy prog, epic, spanning for decades, paying tribute to its jazz roots. Excellent song!
