Brazil is known for its multicultural people, and also for having the largest concentration of Japanese and Japanese descendants outside of Japan in the world, but even today, people ask me if I came from Japan and if I speak Portuguese well. This happens even in my city, which is a capital. When I was a teenager, it used to bother me, but now I see that having a multiethnic background is really cool. It allows us to see the world in a broader and more tolerant way.

Actually, I hardly ever speak Japanese when I'm in Japan only socially, when I talk to Japanese people
I don't know, they always try hard to speak English so I always help them and praise them even if their English is very little or very bad and I always get a big smile. Japanese people can be shocked especially if a foreigner's Japanese is better than there's! Actually, even amongst the Japanese, there are different levels of good and bad Japanese.
