If you do go for the 3.2 159/brera, just watch out for the engine. They’re not a busso sadly, they’re a GM lump with Alfa heads and suffer badly from chain stretch unfortunately. Personally for that money I’d be looking for a 3.2 of the previous generation for that money (147, 156, GT)

In the Alfa 159 they did not built the Busso V6 anymore (the one with the chromed intakes you see in GTV, 155, 156, 147, 166 etc.), rather a General Motors sourced V6 with similar displacement. It is more advanced and efficient, but less rev-hungry and more weighty, so Alfisti definitely prefer the italian built Busso .

You don’t NOT want the one with the hidden past. You just don’t want to pay the same for it as one without a hidden past. Hate it when yt’ers act like you should avoid all cat cars when working with carvertical. What you should be doing is buying one of them from e b a y or copart and fixing it. You’d pay a lot less than 10k probably under 5 for the car and then 1-2 to fix it! Then you could use the CV still too, but nothing wrong with putting your kids in a cat N or even S car as long as you inspect it properly 🙄

Actually turn it on its head and say when you played this back to your little pickles which one got them more excited? That would be my pick cause they would be creating happy memories!!

That blue XFR has had the pulleys done and the exhaust swapped, so it's pushing nearly 600bhp. Not bad for about two thirds of what my wife just spent on a 1.5 golf...

You touching on Jaguar's. What about the XF SV8 or An 03-09 XJR all sub 10k.

The Flying Spur is incredible. Considered one a few times but the potential repair bills on them can make M5 & RS6 bills look like peanuts. You'd need a whole bottle of brave pills for that. You could get nine tenths of the comfort and about two tenths of the risk with a Lexus LS600H. Although sub 10k may only get you into a ratty example. Watch Jayemms video on the LS600H...

might be a shot in the dark but for £10k you could get something like a Nissan Cedric or a Toyota Crown Althete etc. one of those big V6 Japanese Luxobarges.
