Most of these suggestions apply to any large city.
I love CDMX and plan to move there.
Yo vivo e la CD de México,si viajen en Septiembre y en noviembre para día de muertos,es hermoso 🎉🎃👻
ОтветитьThank you very much for this perfect video ♡
ОтветитьGreat video guys, qq how safe are buses specially if im looking to visit a state outside of CDMX? Thanks in advance
ОтветитьYou talk way too fast, slow down so we can understand you better. What's the big hurry?
ОтветитьExpat my ass. You're an immigrant
ОтветитьYou guys are not expats. You guys are immigrants. The word expat was created by European and american travelers to distinguish themselves as different from an immigrant. Asians, Africans, and Hispanics are considered immigrants even if the country they reside in is temporary, but American and Europeans call themselves expats, even when the country they move to is a permanent move. So you guys are immigrants
ОтветитьThe pink taxis hate Uber bc they can't scam everyone anymore!!!!
ОтветитьVery impressed with how much relevant information you packed in this short video. New to your channel but would be curious to know how the learning curve was to be able to make videos that are this information dense yet easy to follow. Perhaps, it comes naturally to you but it'd certainly be an acquired skill for me. Be it talent or skill, I do appreciate you making this video for first time travelers like me.
ОтветитьGreat and informative video this. I'm also from South Africa :) I'll be visiting Mexico for the first time over December for 4 weeks. I'm very excited but also a little nervous. How many days do you think should I allocate to being in Mexico City? I'll be flying in on the 3rd of December and departing again from Mexico City on 31 December.
ОтветитьWhat I heard was to avoid everything, you will get robbed, sick and will have to pay to shit your brains out.
ОтветитьWhy would I travel to that city when I can go to other cities in LatAm or Asia without the police robbing me? Hard pass.
ОтветитьDon’t challenge them? Man when it gets that way that a red flag.
ОтветитьYup there are pick pockets both in metro and metrobus, they will stand around you and push you on the stops so that one of them can take your phone or wallet out. I don't use neither lately but what I do (as a guy) if I need to use them is that I put both wallet and phone in the same pocket and grab them both with one hand, the other hand is to hold to the tubes. Or if possible just don't get in if it's too full.
ОтветитьThis was a good review, one of the more realistic ones without rose-colored glasses or agendas. CDMX was great, I visited in March for 6 days with my wife & kids (14 & 11) from Houston, TX. We stayed between Polanco & Chapultepec. No issues there, but the vibe in that area changes dramatically after sunset. In broad daylight, two drunks in Alameda Park were shoving each other & yelling (in Spanish & English) near us, with big dogs barking in front of police who just stood by them, though it stopped pretty fast. And the airport (landside, by the entrances) was a bit sketchy with people loitering & sleeping on the floors. Otherwise all was good-- it was a great trip and we look forward to going back. It's an easy 2 hour flight from here, but is sadly overlooked due to certain politicians and "news".
Ответить!!
ОтветитьHi, how many nights should I stay in Mexico city do you think? Im planning a month in mexico exploring in January.
Ответитьsorry for the man that looks mexican!!!!
Ответитьyou forgot to tell the people that is to cheap than your country, also y a problem?
Ответитьcome on!!!!! sorry for your comments, go to another country where you fill safe!!!!! Mexico city is a nice city, probably you need to learn more about Mexican traditions, where you are probably is more unsafe than Mexico.. my recomendation is never come back, stay safe in your country
ОтветитьLol it’s funny Tepito and La Merced are full of foreigners tho getting wasted.
ОтветитьDidi is a Chinese app just so you know. It's been around for a long time in China.
ОтветитьWhen I realized that COVID-19 wasn’t the next plague (mid-April 2020) I booked a family trip to Mexico City. It was wonderful— but I’ve honestly learned things from this video.
I thank you for that!👍🏼
We just returned from Mexico City and I wanted to share this lesson learned. After our day in the central historic district, we took a pink taxi parked in the street. We were charged 600 pesos in a typical 80 to 100 pesos ride. Looking back, there were many signs that tells us DON’T take this taxi but we didn’t listen to…Lesson Learned: Never use pink taxi can but use Uber instead for safety. The pink taxi cab we took is an old beat up car. The taxi does not have any identification displayed in the taxi. The taxi meter was not visibility seen. The meter was placed on his side (driver’s side) tucked deep down on the left dashboard and it was faced down. When we shared this to our hotel staff, he said that it was a good thing that we do not argued for we do not know how the driver would react. I am sharing this experience to avoid getting similar experience. Best to use Uber for transportation for SAFETY reasons. Mexico City is a beautiful city and has lots of amazing places to explore. Enjoy exploring and be safe!! Peace 😊❤
ОтветитьGreat video, very informative, Q For a group of ten , can you lease a van with driver for the day.
ОтветитьReally good helpfull video!
ОтветитьDiDi is a Chinese company
ОтветитьI've lived in Mexico for 5 years. CDMX for about a year. Half way through the video and I appreciate the accuracy of your suggestions.
ОтветитьMy Aunt Virginia who lives in the capital, used to say, b4 going out with my cousin's? Dont eat in the street, but we did it anyway, sometimes you dont even get sick. I've gotten sick at the airport and one restaurant.
ОтветитьGeovanny, parpadea si necesitas ayuda
ОтветитьIf cops want to arrest you like they did with me for drinking on the street, most are actually just looking for a payoff because they make so little. I had to give them all my money in my wallet
Ответитьメキシコに行きたい🇲🇽❤🇯🇵
ОтветитьDo you recommend going to arena mexico or arena coliseo (near tepito) for watching lucha librae? I'm concerned about the safety of arena coliseo,
ОтветитьI lived in Mexico City in the late 80’s and was told by locals if ever pulled over by the cops to offer to buy them “a couple of cokes”. This was code for negotiating your infraction. In Mexico you are guilty until found innocent. Always offer a bride if the cops tell you they want to take you into the station.
ОтветитьRule number one don’t wear a chivas shirt in Mexico city 😂
ОтветитьWe're plan on going in April, and this video about safety has certainly scared me enough to not want to go, now.
ОтветитьLoved this video! Going in the spring with my sister who is a frequent visitor to the city but I wanted to get an idea what I’m getting into!
ОтветитьBaie dankie! Video het my baie gehelp!
ОтветитьTell us how to stay safe in Churches, Malls, Restaurantes,Schools,MovieTeathers,Parades,Marathons,Concerts,Walmars Stores,Colleges,Festivals Etc. IN THE USA
ОтветитьGreat video! Love CDMX! What helps me to avoid "Montezuma's Revenge" is to take 1-2 pepto tablets every morning. That way, when I am exposed to bacteria - and I will be - my stomach will be protected and the likelihood of getting sick is fairly slim. (Also, no uncooked veggies, avoid most dairy, always avoid local water even for brushing your teeth, and never, ever drink ANYTHING with ice cubes.)
ОтветитьLove this! Thanks!
ОтветитьBest travel video
Ответить"Mexico City is both wonderful and dangerous city."
1.Dont take a taxi, maybe be Uber.
2.Dont ask directions. May be to the police.
Metro bus or metro station(subway station) is the cheapest and relatively safest transportation.
The historic center of MC is best to stay because most beautiful things are concentrated there.
July is the rainest and the hottest season in MC like Ethiopia.
Can I ask if you carry passport with you or left it in the hotel room?
ОтветитьAs a Canadian hearing 15° as a low means I'll be in a t shirt and shirt the entire time lool
ОтветитьTRIPOD.
ОтветитьThanks for the tips!
ОтветитьPro tip. Use Cittymapper to move around.
