Just sharing our wee trip to Iceland in 2019 with you all, hope you enjoy xx

Recommendations if you go (it's quite expensive when you are there so bring plenty money):

Hotel- Fosshotel Reykjavik (we couldn't fault it in the slightest, very clean): https://www.islandshotel.is/hotels-in-iceland/fosshotel-reykjavik

Tours (quite expensive but honestly worth it because there is not much else to do) we used Reykjavik Excursions: https://www.re.is/

Places to eat and drink (there are coupon books which offer you discounts on tours, food and drink in most places in reykjavik, we picked up one in our hotel):

The Public House (lovely wee cosy gastropub on the main shopping street, Laugavegur)

Reykjavik Meat (expensive but was very nice for my birthday tea, located just off Laugavegur):

Svarta Kaffid (where we got our soup bowls which were amazing, the menu is very limited though, still on Laugavegur)

Valdis (a lovely wee ice cream shop located just off Laugavegur)

Joe & the juice (seemed like a mix between a Juice bar/Starbucks/Costa was quite nice also)

We would recommend staying near Laugavegur which is the main shopping street as there are plenty places to eat and drink and some gift shopping too xx
