Two questions. The version of your controller is 104889F right? It's the last version I think. Also, this revision doesn't come with a manual/handbook as the older versions?
I ask this because that's what I noted when I opened the box of my recently bought controller.

Got it back in 2017 when Switch was released. Still going strong. Otherwise got all variants - Splatoon 2, Xenoblade 2, Smash Bros and the 2x Monster Hunter. (yes I'm collector)

To sync - 2 easy steps - 1. Change grip order... 2. Click and hold the sync button... that's all. You don't need any cables or TV modes...
