I don't think this was actually bypassing the governor. The governor is still pulling against the throttle cable inputs. This method is still probably a nice step beyond factory though.
ОтветитьOr take the whole assembly off and get a slide carb since the throttle cable goes directly to the carb and doesn’t need all that anyway
ОтветитьQuestion if I put aftermarket air filter on 212cc predator engine an I don't have a filter for my OHV can I plug the hose that come from it with a screw on the end of it thanks
ОтветитьGracias por la informacion
ОтветитьPredator engines won’t blow up ungoverned with stock internals. I raced a predator 212 with a Briggs animal 206cc racing 26mm carb and a Honda racing exhaust as well as a vacuum fuel system, on my professional racing gokart for 3 years. Never even had a sign of wear.
ОтветитьBullshit, you got so many pretenchale problems running that ×××× Rig.
ОтветитьU R awesome genius , ❤
ОтветитьSounds like your doing a lot of guessing on what may or may not work😢.
ОтветитьHere I was thinking you had to take off the backing plate and take the “mechanical” governor off. And the gears off the camshaft. 😢
Ответитьthis takes the cake as the worst way to bypass the governor i've ever seen. listen to anyone else just don't do this
ОтветитьGreat method. With a little ingenuity, you can make it look better. A spring bracket that looks like OEM made it, and a throttle cable clamp on the governor arm.
ОтветитьDoes this work for the 224?
ОтветитьWhat happens when governor arm breaks at the top of engine
ОтветитьDUDE THANX VERY INFORMATIVE
ОтветитьYou said you had several of these why are you buying another what happened to the others ?
ОтветитьDo you need a fly wheel
Ответитьdanger:bypassing the governor on an engine with a stock flywheel and valve springs the flywheel can explode past 4000 rpm and kill someone or you and having stock valve springs it can cause valve float buy billet flywheel and upgraded valve springs if you want to bypass the governor
ОтветитьNice video and explanation, but that zip tie tail really makes me hate the entire video it really made me mad.
ОтветитьThank you for the helpful vid it helped us alot.
ОтветитьDude, my motor won't start now !!!!!
ОтветитьSoo good
ОтветитьTthanks for the no how
ОтветитьDoes it make it faster?
Ответитьlooks like its operating the same as when you started
ОтветитьThat's a lot newer motor and a different
ОтветитьI have the same predator engine but my choke must be close to idle if I open it, it dies out does that mean I need a new carburetor or can I just clean it up
ОтветитьSo this worked great for a while, but once I put a torque converter on my engine it suddenly became governed again, anybody know anything about that?
ОтветитьThank you for the simple video finally someone who can easily show how to do something no bs
ОтветитьDo you really have to do it to the arm I just said fuck the arm and went to the carb drilled a hole in the black piece and shoved cable thru there and looped it around and heavy duty zip tied it at an angle it work like a charm fr
ОтветитьWould just removing the spring from the governor affect the use of the engine its self?
ОтветитьThe reason the governor is on there is for standard applications like running equipment and machinery. The reason we remove it is for better throttle response, not more rpms. As long as you don't over rev it, you should be fine.
ОтветитьGreat advice, but did nobody notice that the front spring hook fell out when he pushed the cable through the arm. Gotta catch those things.
ОтветитьRedneckcomputergeek made a video showing how to remove the governor and still keep the stock throttle linkage.
ОтветитьIf I'm upgrading to a mikuni carb, can I just remove the governor arm and apparatus? Thanks.
ОтветитьMost afraid of the cheap magnet on the flywheel coming off that's why I think it's recommended that you use a billet flywheel
ОтветитьThe people saying it will blow up must not have heard of VM22 mikuni clone carbs
ОтветитьThanks for this. I noticed this configuration on the KT 196 ENGINE, I know its got more juice than its produced to make. This video explains very well what is needed or not needed.
ОтветитьGood video you explained things very well
ОтветитьSame process for the 224??
Ответитьhmm, i left the throttle assemble in place and left the cable hooked up the normal way. then i disconected the governor and ran a new custom linkage bar, made from the old one, from the throttle lever to the carb. the governor is fully disconnected and left to do whatever it does. for me that was easier because the throttle cable was already hooked up and in place and i didn't want to mess with it.
ОтветитьWhat is the purpose of removing that governor arm if it does not change the functions of that engine what is that point topic for this video
ОтветитьOld videos are best.
ОтветитьDO NOT FOLLOW THIS GUYS INSTRUCTIONS.....RUINED MY ENGINE THE FIRST RIP......Thanks dick.
ОтветитьHow do u put the governor arm back on because I can’t get it on
ОтветитьSince I did that I somehow need to flip all my gearing and chain to the other side
ОтветитьHow many more rpms are you getting with this being done?
ОтветитьTHANKS
ОтветитьWow, butchery what the? i take nothing from a punk.
ОтветитьThe governor rod still moving! Still chocking the RPM back.
ОтветитьSplit the case, go inside and impeach the governor, get rid of all his cabinet members and all useless, spinning materials. Plug the hole on top with a plastic push pin. I have honestly put over 5,000 miles on my board track bike and still counting, these things are indestructible.
