I now have Android 13 on my Samsung Galaxy S20 Note Ultra and it's not that different from Android 12 which I have on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6. What I've noticed about Android however has to do with data collection which I refer to as "snooping". Android treats an SD card as a separate entity unlike Windows which treats it as another drive. Kit-Kat actually BLOCKED me from accessing the SD card and it was hellaciously difficult to put data on it. You could read, but not write. This created such a hulabaloo hat they changed it back to the system currently used which is still inordinately difficult. That's because data stored on the SD card cannot be seen by the network administrator at Google and is therefor completely secure from knowledge by advertisers as to what you have on your phone or tablet. The scheme now is not to include an SD card capability so that everything is visible to the Network Administrator at Google and thus the advertising department. Consequently all my data is on an SD card in my two devices and I will not use or purchase a phone that does not have SD card capability. Android has graduated from a mobile OS into a very slick full bodied operating system that will do just about everything a good desktop does. In fact, it handles Bluetooth connected devices far superior to any Windows or Apple device currently.
Ответить3 BILLION DEVICES - Just like Java since 2001.
ОтветитьI love how almost every version has a dessert/sweet as the name. Saying, "Hey, I just got the new Android KitKat" Is Wayyyyy better than saying, "Hey I just got the new Android 4.4"
Ответитьme and my dad started with Android 3 or 4 on a super old samsung phone, we always loved that purple dynamic theme
ОтветитьSo hey you forgot Android 10
ОтветитьThis is the video I really need to know right now 😅
Ответитьtechquickie- "Android 10 is the oldest version of android supported by phones"
me still working on a device with android 9- *confusion*
just here to say apple sucks
ОтветитьI Love The Oreo Android Is Protecting The Other Androids
ОтветитьI miss the design of android 4, with those black backgrunds with angular stripes on it.
ОтветитьThe HTC G1 was my first Android phone in 2008, so I’m an OG. Android 1.0 was the start of the revolution. Glad I was there at the beginning to experience it.
Ответитьandroid jellyBean and kitkat gives nostalgia
ОтветитьMe knowing nothing about programming watching this and craving dessert.
ОтветитьAnd it's still better than iOS...
ОтветитьGreat explanation! Thank you!
Ответитьkinda sad that they moved away from the desert names.
ОтветитьJellyBean and kitkat were the best android versions in my opinion. they ran on very limited hardware at that time (512m ram and 2core processor) way better than my later android 6 phone (still 512m but 4 faster cores). it was so easy to root jellybean i didn't have to get my computer. i could do swapping in the sd card, allowing me to barely run Pokemon Go before they prevented it to run on anything older than KitKat. Great times.
Ответить2018 pie damn old phone I had
ОтветитьThey still name Android versions after food...
Android 11 is Red Velvet Cake
Android 12 is Snow Cone
Android 13 will be Tiramisu
Both iOS and Android are facades sitting on top of Embedded Ubuntu Linux (Linux).
ОтветитьI still miss physical keyboards...
ОтветитьWhat if android was named after savoury foods instead?
ОтветитьThe first android versions just look so beautiful and visually appealing, I tried my best to make my new phone look like that with nova launcher themes and i guess i kind of succeeded lol-
ОтветитьAndroid Verified Boot was a game changer too
ОтветитьAndroid 13 is off planet fighting a Super Saiyan.
ОтветитьAndroid Version Whipcream
Android Version Bread
Android Version Pasta
Android Version Choco
Was i the only one who thought that android 11 was still in beta test?
ОтветитьMy 1st ever smartphone phone was the Samsung galaxy note 1 and it was way ahead of its time it had split screen function and an amazing stylus support feature even running android ice cream sandwich it did do a lot of things that was impossible to do in phones at the time
ОтветитьI’d 100% say that using Android 6…. That version was underwhelming. Wish the phones had got was a different one with android 7 or 8
ОтветитьAndroid is on soo many devices, because a company could literally make a simple phone that’s $100, snd it’ll sell like hot cakes.
Well, $100-$300 devices in general sell like that. Because most people can get by using less, since all of the stuff like period 48MP, 4K, and wireless charging are all premium and kinda pointless, since you’d be fine with a 900p screen, and 8-12MP camera.
Plus 8 or more cores, 8GBs of ram and 512GBs of storage is a bit much, when 2, 3, or 4 is perfectly fine.
The Material You design looks so bad its the only reason why I am avoiding an upgrade. I even had to install older version of most google apps that had changed to material you
ОтветитьAa
ОтветитьWish support or upgradability would be better, butting a dent in "soft"ware.
ОтветитьAndroid 5, Lollipop, was so big, it killed so many devices. My 1 year old Nexus 7 no longer ran well after 5.0, and tons of people reported the issue too
ОтветитьWas interesting to see.
Thanks!
I had an LG Chocolate 📱
One of the first smart phones
its hilarious that ios doesnt have lots of these features still even though they came out in 2015
ОтветитьThank you, James, for pronouncing gif the CORRECT way.
ОтветитьCurrently using the Samsung note 9. I've got the pixel expensive custom ROM installed with android 12.1. These phones are given a few more years of life with the help of custom roms. Can't believe my old 2018 phone runs the same version of Android as the pixel 6 pro
ОтветитьOh man I still remember Android 1.6 on my Xperia x8 was a hell of a fun ride nowadays the new version of android is kinda boring but back then with each update it would have got a lot of new features that everyone was hyped for
Ответитьthis is the last video Taran edited :(
Ответитьi cannot believe a tech video made me feel hungry.
ОтветитьIs he from Newfoundland?
ОтветитьI still have my old phone that I don't use that's on ice cream sandwich
ОтветитьWhere is android 11?
ОтветитьAndroid versions make me hungry
ОтветитьI use android 4.1.2 Jellybean XD
Ответить“Make your phone less annoying”
-Immediately goes to sponsor
So much for that
DROID
Ответить.... anyone else suddenly very hungry?
