Hlw Sup Amigos, Nelson I am planning to take BA in Computer Science because my prospective college only offers BA in CS. My area of interest is Software Engineering. So, is it not possible to be a Software Engineer by BA degree or is it a must to take BS degree in CS to become a Software Engineer??

Nice video. To be honest, I have no idea of why people choose VSCode over IntelliJ. Don't know how I would be able to work without all the cool functions of IntelliJ. That said, I'm doing almost exlusively TypeScript and my Mac is top of the line, so the extra memory requirements aren't an issue. Maybe VSCode would be nice with vanilla JS, but when it comes to re-factoring, code inspection and debugging, IntelliJ wins the battle by a big margin. And VSCode shouldn't be considered an IDE, maybe the difference between text editors such as VSCode and full-blown IDE's like IntellJ isn't as big as it used to be, but VSCode is more like a text editor on steroids with a lot of plugins to make it look like an IDE.

I am using intelliJ Idea for java But i want to ask what is the git command to set intelliJ as the default editor?

Visual Studio Code is not an IDE it is a code-editor - and there is no such thing that is the best for "pretty much everything" as you said.

GoLand is way better than vscode for go development. Vscode is an IDE for typescript (and probably JavaScript too) ,but for other languages it's more of a "smart" text editor. At least in my experience (python, golang)

Hi Nelson, what would you recommend as an IDE for development in C/C++ within a Linux environment ? I was wondering which is more widely used in industry, CLion, VSCode or something else ? I like the LiveShare feature of VSCode.

As a student I'm using IntelliJ even my instructor insisted our class to use NetBeans but naah intelliJ 100% recommended

I used to use all Jetbrains products for ages..Now im switching to VsCode..The reason? VsCode is highly customizable..Vscode + vim = Ninja mode..Certain keybinding is not configurable in Jetbrains and it is a big no for me...
