I told my mother-in-law how I planned on cutting my hair and she got hers done before I had a chance to do it. It was exactly what I had planned. I got mine done anyway and she then told everyone that she had it first, implying that I copied hers.

I was wondering if everyone thought what I was thinking. Glad like 90% of them agree that MIL is creepy in this one.

My girlfriends mum has a weird relationship with her brother whose 23, to the point where she rubs oil into his thighs if he has any muscle pain and both she and I are like uhm wtf?!
Thankfully my girlfriend is well adjusted and normal and can look after herself when her brother can’t. Because of the weird relationship her brother has NO interest in women, cannot cook cannot look after himself has to ask his mum for everything but also doesn’t love her even though she dotes on him and doesn’t appreciate anything.
He had a girlfriend who was pretty attractive, is really smart was working like four jobs on top of uni and would spend her breaks trying to spend time with him, but he’d only pay attention to his guy friends on his Xbox or play video games and ignore her, which is really funny because his parents are really homophobic so they basically disowned my girlfriend so I’m gonna find it hilarious if their golden child son is getting his fudge packed. Anyway the two broke up and his mum keeps calling the ex to try and take him back because she knows he won’t find anyone else willing to take him.
God I hope Linda gasps so hard one day she croaks it

Linda is superrrr creepy for that but also, partners who are attracted to their partner less just because of a haircut sucks.
My brothers are total misogynistic sexist jackasses. 1 told a girl he wasn’t even seeing he didn’t like her hair because it was short and she liked him too so she just said “okay I’ll grow it out.” My other brother complained to me how his girlfriend cut his hair anyways after he said he didn’t like short hair. He acted like a toddler about it! It was so awkward and I felt so bad for her. Her hair looked so nice too.
Side note: But one time he even brought me with them shopping for their anniversary vacation and asked me to help him peer pressure his girlfriend into choosing a red swimsuit because it’s hot and to take pictures in the changing room of her wearing it… I encouraged her to get the blue swimsuit she wanted because it made her feel the happiest and that shade of blue was perfect for her. I was 13 - 14 at the time while my brother was in his 30’s asking his sister to peer pressure his girlfriend into wearing what he wanted her to wear. Sadly they’re still together. They’ve been together for 7 years almost.

I could t deal with this. Good thing I never have. I had a MIL & a Step MIL and had great relationships with both. They treated me like a daughter from day one. I was blessed.

When I first met my ex, he was so excited thinking I was just like his mother. I just thought it was sweet that he loved and respected his mom.

He was so excited for me to get along with her. So, being in a new relationship, of course I wanted to get along with his mom.

He loved when I would learn to cook from her, and that was normal and fine. At first.

But he also wanted me to dress like her and act like her. That was a very wierd feeling. Especially bc she was petite and very feminine and me... not so much.

When I gained weight, cut my hair, and changed my style, he lost interest in me. Ok, fine. I changed and he didn't like it. It happens.

But after I got pregnant, he wouldn't lay a finger on me. Physical touch is my biggest love language, so that hurt.

Then once when I was pregnant, his mother came into our room (she lived with us) and she told him that he should suck my nipples to make the milk come out! (We were fully dressed and everything, but it was still a boundary violation! It was nuts!)

She was always going through my drawers and listening through the walls. Trying to help me breastfeed when I only wanted privacy!! It was so intrusive and bizarre!

She started calling our baby "my baby" meaning HER baby. She was making all the household decisions. He was ignoring me and just doing everything she told him to do.

I swear it was like A Handmaids Tale/ Twilight Zone/ Bates Motel!

When I realized that the only thing that would make him have any interest in me for any reason- including sexual- was if his mommy told him to... I never wanted him to touch me again.

My grandma was like that with my mom. My grandma always got the same haircut as my mom right after she got one on several occasions. Even decided to grow it out when my mom did.

She recently to get similar tattoos to my mom’s shortly after my mom would get one. Same tattoo artist as well. Tattoo artist keeps saying her skin is too thin, but she keeps scheduling right after my mom’s appointments

I got new glasses the other day and the dude asked me if I wanted to send a photo to my husband to get his opinion. First of all.... No. Secondly, who has time for that???

We live w my mil, and I've always known she has a weird obsession with my husband. But I don't think much of it because I know that my husband always has my back and chooses me over anyone.
Anyway. One day, I decided to surprise my husband with a date night at home because he had a really hard work week. I was gonna wear a dress that I know he loves me in, and cooked a really nice dinner for us.
So I told her about the surprise date, and I didn't think to say anything else because she never eats with us when I make dinner. But that night, for some reason, she decided to sit with us for dinner after I told her it was a surprise date, which pissed me off, but I didn't say anything cos I didn't wanna be rude. And the whole time trying to talk to my husband whenever I tried talking to him, and criticizing my food

I didn't see the mom's reaction as sexual in any way, but it still made me uncomfortable that she got the same haircut. A desperate attempt to still feel relevant in her son's life.

MIL has short hair, think pixie cut. I have long hair. She came downstairs complaining about the plugs in the bathroom which I do clean regularly. She said to me dead serious. Why don't you just cut your hair off? It will make the drains much better and it would be so much easier, just cut at least half of it off. I had hair just below my shoulders.....she had short hair, not because she likes it but because it's practical.
