As someone who had a dog since they were born and has a deep relationship with that dog I understand ur pain be happy u got to spend ur dogs last moments with u as in my situation I didn't get to say goodbye I regret that day so much and wish I just came home

jacky was my childhood dog, we grew up together and held a lot of memories together. she helped me through some really rough times and i will always thank her for her companionship.

a week before her passing, she had a stroke and we took her to the vet where she was diagnosed with a severe brain hemorrhage with her health declining rapidly. she wouldn’t eat or drink by herself, she couldn’t control her bowels, she was in a constant state of confusion & didn’t know where she was. She had no balance and was on pain medication.

it was the vets recommendation for this heartbreaking event and so I took her on this mini adventure that you see before you. she ran around, ate her ham and wagged her tail which she hadn’t done at all since being diagnosed. i also cut out all the footage of her walking in circles of confusion, loosing her balance & her bowels as i didn’t want to remember her last moments like that.

I am a creator online. I share my life with the world but I wanted to purely film this with the intention of having this video to watch back on and smile, to remember Jacky and our last moments together. Uploading online means it’s here forever and I want to be able to watch this video forever so all the snarky ‘you only uploaded this for views’ comments are disgusting & wrong. I don’t care for views, I care for community and connection and people who are grieving need connection. All the comments joking that she’s going to space or the moon are wrong and disgusting. I hope you never have to experience someone joking about a deceased loved one and to all the comments telling me that she was perfectly healthy and fine- it’s a 30 second video on the internet. you don’t see everything & your assumptions are small minded. and to the small group of people who keep doing this: please don't come to my other videos asking if Jacky is okay or if I still miss her because I think that's so immature and weird...

She was my childhood best friend and I miss her everyday. It’s been three months and not a day goes by where I think she’s going to be behind the door when I open it, where she’ll be walking down the hallway to my room every morning to say hi, where she’ll be soaking herself in the sun in her favourite spot and beg for my food everytime i open the fridge. I miss my angel girl so much 💌

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

My 18 year old silky terrier, O'Malley just died Saturday night. I am absolutely devastated. For 18 years he so unselfishly loved me. Every season of life he was there. There is a huge hole in my heart. My chest hurts so bad. I hope it gets better. And to all of us who have gone through this, or are, may we find peace and comfort that they are free of this world. Sigh. I feel like I will never stop crying. 💔💔💔💔💔

😢 I love how you spent her last day doing what she loves most of all, eating her favorite food. They deserve to be loved just as they love us. Dogs are so precious. I remember the last day with my puppy who died at the age of 1 because of kidney failure I got to say my last good bye before I left for school. It's very heartbreaking to think of them not in your life.

I lost my boy to kidney failure when he was only 6. Luckily, i found a vet that comes to your house for that last "checkup". While the pain of loosing him is still strong, i take some comfort in that we spent his entire last day together, and that when his time came, he was peacefully sleeping in his favorite place.... laying in my lap.
