Love that GW brings the comeback strat/mission mechanic from AOS.

The best proof these mission system is there just to literally sell cards with short life spans is the fact that they don't put them online for free like they would with other rule updates.

Why is there always a SM model in the thumbnail despite not being a SM specific video or SM even being in the spotlight since 2023?

I feel like the missions packs should be compatible with each other. It seems like one of the biggest advantages of a card deck system to me, but then James Workshop wouldn't be able to make the previous one obsolete in roughly a year so...

Theses do nothing to help against low model count stat check armies. Some objectives are impossible to achieve against knights, chaos knights and custodes. If you play a more horde based army your just giving up points. Not really happy with the changes.

They didn't even change most of the missions? And it sounds like almost all of the secondaries just got easier. That's disappointing. 😂

Overwhelming did change. You can do it turn one now vs. turn two onwards.

tournaments should include at least one of the narrative missions, force people to actually adapt and think on the spot more!! its too PRE determined/measured/assured at the moment with lists alone is all

I know it isn’t a card deck but an alternative would be to have a pdf of the cards and roll an appropriate polyhedron die (eg D12 or D20) and just look up the roll with re rolling a result if it is no longer relevant (eg a 20 for secondary as there are only 19 of them).

I like the changes to bring it down and cull the horde for tactical, but for fixed it seems like its gone in the wrong direction. Just doesn't feel justified that taking down a 200 point leman russ is worth 2VP, but 120 points of guardsman is worth 5VP

Swarm is even more dead now. lol Imagine taking No Prisoners and Cull the Horde as your secondaries and scoring 7 points every time you kill some Hormagaunts.

Excited for these, particularly as every game I've played has still been under 2k... slowly escalating, just hitting 1500 after about a year. 1k has been a ton of fun.

Oh don't buy from wargame portal everyone- they oversell their preorders and then just cancel any orders they can't fulfill. I ordered DG from them and just got refunded today because they oversold. First time I've ordered from them, last time too.

If you play chaos knights or imperial knights and they go fixed with Bring It Down and No Prisoners it's going to suck

My LGS still hasnt seen any card decks since launch, so can't wait for more of that.

As a new player getting into the game, are the cards mandatory for playing? Are the old mission decks work picking up still?

I love that I finally found a pariah nexus deck less than $80 and two days later this goes up for preorder. Call me when it's three mission decks later or 11th comes out

Honestly not a fan of the terraform change -- would've preferred something like a turn 1 cap of 1 terraform or something because right now it kinda feels like it's lost its shine. I dunno though, we'll see how it feels after playing with it I guess.

What order are units chosen in?

If the Gamma unit is chosen first the player could choose a tough or impossible to kill unit as the gamma forcing the opponent to then choose three more one of which is probably vulnerable to be killed.

I need new 1k rules.
