Ivan Bosnar Improvising on E.F.Walcker Organ at Zagreb Cathedral

Ivan Bosnar improvising on a Croatian Marian hymn "O divna djevice" in a concert on July 18, 2019. The organ was built by Eberhard Friedrich Walcker in 1855, and later enlarged.

A major restoration of the cathedral after the great earthquake in 1880 was led by Hermann Bollé, an architect who rebuilt the cathedral facade in a Neo-gothic style. The most recent strong earthquake that occurred on March 22, 2020, measured 5.5 on the Richter scale, and did a lot of damage to the whole city. Not only due to the corona virus pandemic that closed the churches, but also because of this earthquake the organ will remain silent until the damage is fixed and the cathedral restored.
