I fortunately started my weld scribing technique on the Tamiya Ardennes Konigstiger. That meant that the s** show which followed wasn’t also an economic disaster. Nevertheless, in my “lessons learned “ post battle assessment I learned what works for me and what doesn’t. Mostly it didn’t but there’s enough for me to add some detail to the kits going forward. Nothing gets by me…..except the fact that the Tamiya kit already HAD weld beads. So, in order to save them I had to..er…destrooooy them. Right? Martin makes this all seem easy because he is a true artiste. My challenge started from jump when the micro chisels had a knack for roaming out of the weld lines. No fear. I simply used some styrene as guard rails. In all, one can’t be too hard on oneself for trying!
ОтветитьMartin: I just picked up this Big Kitty so I’m a bit late to the party but going into the event I’ve got your build video in my back pocket which will help immensely!
ОтветитьThank GOD I came across this video, was just about to purchase this kit because it is cheap as hell. However, shipping was nearly 30.00 dollars. I can always count on Night Shift, Model Nerd, and the Inner nerd scale modeling. Thanks for this video Night Shift! Cheers!
ОтветитьThanks for the heads up, I checked my Takom Porsche Jagdtiger, especially the front of the casemate, it didn't fit of course, I simply sanded the bottom edge and dry fitted as I went along...no problem, slotted in to place looks fine, worked for me, I also fitted a sprue brace from side to side internally to give the roof a bit more strength under the front joint where the casemate joins it as it bowed slightly.
ОтветитьPp small 😭
ОтветитьI got the tank for 20 euros
ОтветитьThis is the same tank i'm making. But from an other company, i'm a 14 year old boy who loves making these things. I started when i was 8.
ОтветитьThat fan line on those hands
ОтветитьDo a MAUS!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьAlways a joy to watch your videos. One question, where do you get the punch from?
Ответитьsu 100y
ОтветитьI'm building it 👍
ОтветитьI bought the wrong tracks as well, once again you are the standard thank for sharing
ОтветитьAs a intermediate modeller i really enjoy building this kit. I am also dealing with the front gun plate... it kinda sucks for this price. But other than that it is great.
Ответитьjeez still worked in an office when this came out
ОтветитьGreat narrative and fun!
ОтветитьI have the Warlord/Italeri 1/56 scale Bolt Action version of this kit sitting half-built in my pile of shame, re-watching this series to get inspired to either build it proper, or do some sort of Warhammer conversion with it.
I already bashed a Sherman V [from the same company] with a 40k Rhino [basically a grimdark version of the M113] to make a unique Baal Predator. The upper hull of the Sherman mates shockingly well with the tracks and rear of the Rhino. I franken-tanked the Sherman because I got it wanting a Sherman Firefly to make the Besotten Jenny from the battle of Castle Itter, but grabbed the British variant by accident. I asked for suggestions on a forum on how to convert a V into a Firefly, but all I got was "sell it on ebay and buy the right kit" [I guess Bolt Action/Historical modelers aren't as kitbash happy as 40k ones...].
Back to the Jagdtiger, I'm torn between building/painting it proper as a "boss" unit for Bolt Action scenarios, maybe getting a Konflikt '47 Railgun for it and making it a Weird War III tank, or 40k-ing it, probably as some IG or Space Marine tank hunter.
What a nightmare perfect for nightshift! Takom should be ashamed by this...thank you sir!
Ответить3D Pinted links, every one will be the same, no cleaning or drilling.
ОтветитьYou can get a hand rail jig, i use it for model railways.
ОтветитьWhat is “thicc”?
ОтветитьWhere did you get all the information about the tanks, like what the diffrence btween the early and late version is?
ОтветитьWhat brand are those chisels??
Ответитьhe could have just marked the wheels left and right with a sharpie, instead he made a little L and R out of wire and glued them to the wheels. unreal.
ОтветитьHe said this is the most armored vehicle in World War II what about the mouse
ОтветитьAwesomeness
ОтветитьMy favourite tank ever next to the easy 8 sherman
ОтветитьWatching again and never realised you said plumBer and not plummer... Just awesome Unc think Me will say it like that from now on! GB :)
ОтветитьPp too smol💀💀
ОтветитьWhat happen when you have one Tiger II broken down and try to tow it with another another Tiger ll? You have two Tigers with blown transmissions. These beasts and other projects contributed to the Allied victory.
ОтветитьWhat means "unit?"
ОтветитьChallenge.. Paint a 3d printed tank thats FDM printed! PLease accept!
ОтветитьIt's the biggest armoured vehicle in ww2!
B17:am I a joke to you
Right buy a "Blitz" kit so you can get to painting faster, extol the virtues of the included track assembly jag, THEN....buy a Voyager mega PE set and Fruils.
I'm SO confused. Each to his own......
Good job mate, I start this kit next days👍
Ответитьi am impressed
ОтветитьI you hate fitting issues don’t do the 1:350 titanic it will kill you
Ответитьmaus.... was bigger doe? or am i dummy and was maus apparently after ww2
ОтветитьDifferent barrels for the same tank from multiple different manufacturers.
Damn these model kit sellers are really dedicated to realism.
I haven’t build models in a long time and Is as never very good at it, but I love the Jagdtiger and this video is making me want to build one.
ОтветитьBiggest tank huh? What about the maus
ОтветитьSo umm...
