The World Conquest | Bannerlord Character Build Guide

Hi strat - pretty late here but long time M&B player and love your guides. Im thinking of retiring my character in favor of a nephew but not sure how exactly that works with money, posessions etc. Ive got millions in the bank and good equipment so i dont want it to go to waste. Do I need to be concerned?

Did you mean to say that its 6 points into control? I see you have 6 but youre saying 5? Only reason im asking is cus the lesrning limit isnt reaching as much as yours. Thanks

hey strat, few months late but im giving this build a try.
as of now, im currently deep in northern empire (or my empire)’s territory, and being swarmed by the southern, aserai, and what’s left of the northern.
im trying to recruit more clans into my kingdom, but the costs are so expensive im usually at 664k. is there something im doing wrong for money?

Ngl, you don't actually know what you're doing. I'm sorry but taking over calradia without intelligence is a struggle, you don't want companions in your army giving you medicine, steward and engineering skills because these are the people you want running your clan's armies, and then to lead vassal kingdoms, so that they will be proficient in future battles. You want to have high medicine, scouting, steward, engineering, tactics, leadership, polearm, roguery and riding in my opinion. This will make you the best party leader you can be, leaving your companions with: steward, scouting, medicine and tactics to command armies for you.

I recommend a different setup if youre an Imperial and want to use Polearms in addition to Throwing instead of One-Handed, and some Roguery. For me, Roguery is pretty good, considering im a Gladiator and it allows me to bet more money, additionally with more loot and Fourberie stuff. You will only have one point in Throwing at the start but it doesnt matter if you have RBM and XPTweaks for 2.5 times the xp. Just go to the arena and tournaments and get those levels. Anyway, you wanna do these choices if youre like me:


6, 5, 4, 1, 2, 5.

You will have all the attribute points you want in End and Cng and be well on your way to SOC.

I casually had this on in the background and heard the leader of the masses perk and immediately went in game and went to a tournament to change my perks. I went from a 394 party size to a 450 party size! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Do i need my character have riding and scouting? Or i can let my brother upgrading scouting while I keep upgrading riding.

Game stagnates after a while i cant be everywhere at once and cant get rid of factions with nobody left gets really frustrating and equally boring.

At this point I always go for a world conquest whenever I make a new character. Idk what the point is otherwise. What is your goal if not to conquer the world?

Always wondered about this topic. If I have vigor 2. Is it possible to level up polearms to max 200 lvl and get all the perks? Doesn't vigor 2 restrict me from going too high in my vigor-related perks? I will need vigor 5 to get to polearms 200?

Works perfect, I've just finished my first world conquest, I even feel bad that I've found this strat too early, just right on my second playthrough, kinda ruined exploring/challenge experience for myself. Rolled everyone with ease in 19 years as a new player, that's too OP lmao

I dont like how the game never allows peace and if it's rarely. It is too constant unless you pay a ton of money

I absolutely love this build. Any tips on power leveling Scouting? Getting 225 Riding is easy the Scouting takes roughly 2-3 in game years from what I have seen so far if not longer. I dump my first 5 focus points since Keen Sight is the hardest perk to get.

Is it okay to make a variation of this build that focuses on archery instead of throwing?

Also, does your smithing guide still hold up post patch?

My characters just keep jumping to level40/tier4 within the first 100days as a solo horse archer god destroying lords & tricking garrisons into open battle :D
Later as a one clan kingdom I get all nice reforms - before convincing other lords.
CTR6+2, END8+2, then I decide on either VIG6+2 for fun or SOC
(I switch the attribute perks for maximum effect)

Strat you made a slight mistake with sturgia it’s 3,5,4,5,2,5 great vid tho, I will be doing a sturgia run and crush those filthy Vlandians

if 225 proficiency is all you need, you can save yourself a couple of attribute points and leave endurance and cunning at 3. But that'd change what background choices you pick and it'd take longer to unlock but it'd save you a couple of att points. 4att. doesn't really unlock what 3 hasn't already unlocked unless it's like 2 or 3 focus points into something.

Agree 100% on Tactics. I always disregard it because it's absolute rubbish. Then in the late game I wish I had it after my 200th or so battle. Those who discount Tactics simply haven't played Bannerlord for long enough.

Roguery, roguery, roguery 275 roguery and that ~+150% loot makes the financial problems disappear without smithing easily.

Next make a top 10 best ways to kill Berican. I just.. really don't like Berican. (WHY DOES HE GET 8 FIEFS WHEN I GOT 2?)

I recently completed my world conquest run where I always released after battle and never executed.

My strat is way different I usually focus leadership and steward end game is nuts cause I have a party size of around 460 so I'm basically a mini army with really good movement speed and I have 150 legionaries 100 fian Champs and a bunch of elite cataphracts it's unstoppable

Tell me how to fight a multiple front war...

Ok but what If I joined the S.E and then genocided the Aserai down to 3 people?

I made this making and battanian empire, first years were painful, and i didnt know that conquering the empire factions would be more painful, last empire kingdom had almost 30 clans with 3 clan leader for each one, they were like cockroaches and they kept escaping from my army, even with scout at max level and the perk where nobles has %50 less chance of escaping. The most fkn annoying faction was aserai, they controled the desert, kuzahit's lands and they start capturing my empire territories while I tried to downgrade the bar for last empire faction, no lands but all clan leader were like flies going to eat, at the final stage. All empire factions are now battanian and when they want declare a war, they become the most annoying faction in game.
At least you can recruit all leaders from empire, You can have an army of 1500 soldiers with your companions and the 3 empire leaders.

The games just not fun at this point. I play to have fun and a challenge but not to question my sanity. Its not dedication its obsession.

Why throwing? Is it because of the impale perk? Is it really that good? I'm more a archer kind of guy, should I switch?

Strat: Oh boy here I go conquering the world again!

I would always go bow and ditch all other combat skills, you can basically become a machine gunner and getting 200 kills in a siege defense is easy. If you are really good you can cover one ladder side by head shooting everyone climbing unless the castle/settlement doesn´t allow propper positioning. Important to stand in a place where arrows can´t hit you. The bow perk tree is also one of the best (in my opinion). A few places don´t have arrow refills but that´s rare, you can still have 105 arrows each equaling a kill.

Charm is gold ... no doubt, tactics sucks but is necessary as the video states, the caravan auto reknown leveling is nice in the trade tree but not necessary.

Kiting can be useful, especially with a bow .... you need athletics for that. The first 3 scouting perks are a must ... the rest are optional and I don´t find the tree that good.

The riding tree is good but I often ditch it.

Another tip which I ALWAYS use and its a bit of a cheesy way to play ... but not a cheat. Can only be done in campaign mode, as soon as your sibling sister becomes available ditch the main character .. retire him. She will be infinitely better and can actually get all non combat skills up to 300 using a 7 as baseline in main stat, meaning she is your "everything" and frees up other characters. This also has the advantage of stopping the requests for marriage and you can get her a hubby .... a good one .... so your main character isn´t lost without nothing.

In my current Western Empire game she has 6 kids by the age of 34 .... I have decided to stop when the first kid reaches maturity, the game just stops being fun at a certain point.

why are there different backgrounds for different cultures?

Why would you pick shield damage perk if you are going tp get a perk which will ignore shields?

Ye I’ve been using the 100% prisoner thing to blitz through vlandia but the thing that pisses me off is how the other factions demand such high tribute, I pass it though so I can focus on one faction at a time, but man now my clans are so poor
