Hey! Should this work with a OneNote work or school account?

How timely. I'm just beginning to re-think my thinking and have to take notes ... From Evernote 😁

I migrated from Evernote to OneNote (primarily for work and personal tech notes) alongside Apple Notes for personal less complicated notes.

One thing that really holds me back from trying out Obsidian is the overall syncing process and some of OneNote's easy to use table and formatting features for work. I use iOS, PC, and Mac regularly, and while there are free options for syncing none of them are truly as hassle free and reliable as the paid Obsidian sync.

But even with the paid Obsidian Sync, there is a file size limit and an overall total limit. This would generally wouldn't be problematic, but I often include screenshots in my OneNote notes (for work).

I want to future proof myself away from the free OneNote and Apple Notes, but it seems if Obsidian were to be the option it would need to be paid.

Do you use the paid Obsidian Sync?

not working with onenote properly. I have many handwritings and screenshots and it's not showing them correctly or full. there are some other ways but couldn't achieve result again especially with onenote to markdown converter.

Great video on migrating to Obsidian and everyone - please use Wanderloot's other AI videos to get more insights :) One crucial point missing is the loss of the original note creation date when using the standard Obsidian importer. This is a big deal for anyone with long-term notes, especially diary entries like mine spanning decades. All my imported notes ended up with today's date, making it impossible to accurately query past events (e.g., 'Where did I travel in 2014?').
After struggling with this for weeks, I found a solution using the "onenote-md-exporter by alxnbl". This tool not only converts OneNote to Markdown for Obsidian but also embeds the original creation date from the metadata into each MD file. Now, queries like 'Which year did I travel the most?' finally work!
For anyone facing this, I used this prompt with Gemini Pro 2.5 (Deep Research) to find this solution: "I wanted to import all my OneNote into Obsidian but I want to preserve the dates that the OneNotes were created. How do I transfer from Obsidian to OneNote and preserve the OneNote date? Please find a solution."

it was annoyingly hard to find this solution. never using onenote again, that export process is horrible
