Next time I'll find a mask that doesn't slip off my nose when I talk... 🤦♂️
ОтветитьHolly Cumulunimbus! It was stolen by a Bond Villain!😱
Ответитьpeople bring up how weirdly prescient the Trump line was, but i think not so many might have noticed how weirdly allusory the Reichstag burning line before it was
ОтветитьYou're awesome, Tim. You come across as a guy with a very kind heart. Hopefully, this is a stepping stone to even greater things in your life. Thanks for bringing us along and showing the world that a kind soul, on a limited & pragmatic budget, can find fantastic and interesting places that are not the typical, over-hyped, disneyfied, tourist trap.
ОтветитьNo, that did not 'start the french rev'. Starbucks history here.
Ответить"When nationalism takes the place of reason, countries tend to make silly decisions"
Said by a Brit, that says everything.
Hello but who is the girl named Bonjoura? 😂
ОтветитьI guess you could say it Chateau-ttered
ОтветитьWho was this Saint Cloud?
No clue.
LOL that trump joke aged way too well jeez
ОтветитьNow this was an interesting video. Well done.
ОтветитьFunny Monty-Pythonesque foot squashing Napoleon the 3rd! (Vive la République - can't stand royalty or imperialism). Bet you're glad of not needing a mask now to stroll around notre beau pays. Le Palais des Tuileries was also destroyed.
ОтветитьEnglish style roast camel🤣
ОтветитьWell,I have an idea! How about if the building is reconstructed? Man managed to land on the Moon. So reconstruting that building will be much easier!
ОтветитьMy grand parents used to live in Saint-Cloud, I've spend loooog boooooring afternoons there, including the ritual tour in the nearby parc, and I had never heard this piece of history before seeing your video... Thanks for sharing it, I guess I'll go back to Saint-Cloud with more pleasure now ! (and by the way, my grandfather was one of the director of the SNCF, and reading « La Vie du Rail », a newspaper for train enthusiasts was one of my distractions during those family afternoon... it seems that Train has a connection with everything !)
ОтветитьOMG how did you call Trump against the white house?
ОтветитьReminds me of Schloss Schonbrunn. Minus the building..
Ответитьhuuuur duuuur orange man bad
ОтветитьAt first I thought you meant the Tuileries Palace, which I only recently found out burnt down, probably explaining why I've never heard anything much about save my history research.
ОтветитьYou absolutely must visit my city of Nantes (extremely rich history) and also the city of Clisson near by where there is the 13th century castle and the parc of la Garenne Lemot built in the style of a Renaissance parc.
ОтветитьCareful...your unironic ironic socialism is showing in several of your videos.
ОтветитьTim, Castle Neuschwanstein's construction only began in 1869 😅
ОтветитьI mean, what's a chateau more or less... 🙄
ОтветитьLondon has also a lost palace and an empty park surrounding it. The lost Crystal Palace
ОтветитьTrump shells the withe house... that was close. But it was a run on the Capitol.
On the other hand, Merkel did just retire and went on vacation. Just like that.
It looks like what happened to Chief Inspector Dreyfus' castle after the disintegrator ray was pointed at it.
Ответитьcorrect me if im wrong but isnt chateau just cat water?
Ответить"... or Donald Trump shelling the white house, uh oh shouldn't joke about that one." a couple months later the right wing terrorists attack our capital with his support lol.
ОтветитьI kinda need that accordion version of „Can‘t speak French“ :-) It‘s beyond brilliant
ОтветитьExcellent. Funny and informative.. wish these videos were longer!
ОтветитьSorry, mate, but I can't take those ridiculous face-nappies seriously .... never could. I'm outta here. :(
ОтветитьI lived just beside that! 🙂
ОтветитьWhy don't they rebuild it?
ОтветитьI've convinced a friend of mine to visit this park on our trip to Paris this week lol
ОтветитьIt was not a stray shell. The French deliberately targeted the castle of Saint-Cloud because it housed the German general staff.
Ответитьjolly good history lesson! Will be telling the kids on my school bus to toon in
ОтветитьTBH there is still time for that trump joke to happen.
Ответить"When nationalism takes the place of reason, countries tend to make silly decisions." You can replace "nationalism" there with just about any noun and it still works. It might seem more sensible to replace it with "idealism" or "emotion" or even "humanitarianism", but "potatoes" (with an adjustment of "takes" to "take") works as well.
ОтветитьWell done Tim.
ОтветитьThere's a city here in Minnesota named St. Cloud, always wondered about the name.
ОтветитьI really appreciate your accessibility part of the visiting section. Even though it doesn't apply to me, its great to see this inclusive way of thinking ^^
ОтветитьHow do you pronounce cloud? Cloud or cloud?
ОтветитьWhen you talk about Trump shelling the white house within 3 months of this video being uploaded.
January 2021 ... Trump actually IS shelling the white house
"Dans la nuit du 13 au 14 octobre 1870, pendant le siège de Paris, le château de Saint-Cloud a été réduit à l’état de ruine par le tir d’un obus français sur une batterie prussienne stationnée à proximité."
ОтветитьRestore the true King!
