good work
Ответитьwill the T56 work with an 06 LQ4? Im reading in forums that its not compatible. Thank you
ОтветитьNice tutorial, thank-you for posting this.
I have a suggestion that might help when you're having trouble getting the splines to line up.
Try rotating the output shaft back and forth in either direction when you're trying to get the splines on the input shaft and the clutch disc to mesh together. I've found this can sometimes help when the trans is being stubborn and not wanting to slide in the splines of the clutch disc.
But like you said, fiddling with it could just be what was required.
And as was posted, the 99-00 LQ4s couldn't use anything other than the 4L80 that it originally was paired with. This is due to the engine having a thicker crankshaft flange on the trans end. In 2001, GM started using a spacer that is bolted onto what is otherwise the common LS crank flange. Get an 01+ LQ4 with the removable crank flange spacer to bolt a T56 onto the engine.
this trans jack, it looks familiar....
ОтветитьWill a T-56 be compatible with a 427(6.9L) by Ford Racing?
ОтветитьMake longer headless trans bolts to align the bell housing to the engine. Engage a gear. use an output yoke on the output shaft.
Ответить'Bleed the clutch' what?
is that like Headlight fluid?
what did u do to complete ur jop ? u cut off the videos then it's togather ? i have the same issue here 😢
Ответитьwhat's the stuck thing ?
Ответитьthank u bro, done 👍
Ответитьdude, maneuver the engine not the trans..... the motor is haning around. its easier to manipulate the position of the engine rather the trans.
ОтветитьWhat starter did you use?
ОтветитьHello... I was wondering if you can tell me if you change something like flywheel, starter or bell-housing. It´s because I´m triying to do the same but the original flexplate of the LQ4 is a 168 tooth and the T56 I bought is from a 1998 firebird that has 153 tooth I tought I would have enough space for the bigger flhywheel but I haven´t ... So I supposed I have to change bell-housing and flywheel or is possible install other starter, well I will appreciate any information you can provide me. Thanks
ОтветитьLOL, i have that exact same crappy transmission jack. That strap was useless for me...
ОтветитьWHOA WHOA WHOA... The whole point of the video was to see how you did it... but you cut that part out!!! -_-
Ответитьhey man. so what year is that trans? and what year is the engine? did stock bolt up to stock? or did you have to modify anything?
Ответитьturn the crankshaft so the splines will go in the torque converter
Ответитьwell that was useless. how about if its still in the car? and next time title the video "wanna see a transmission poof into the motor. lol
ОтветитьThe reason the trans wouldn't go all the way in is the spring on the throwout bearing. Takes a little pressure going on to overcome the spring.
ОтветитьJeg's Check out our channel to see our multiple length magnum swap shifters, they make it easy to get your shifter to line up with your factory shifter location and shorten the throw at the same time, love the video by the way!
Ответитьinfo on this please? ima be mating a lq4 with a ls t56. is urs a long crank(99-00) or a short crank (00+) also wat kind of clutch kit u have to use for that? advice please
ОтветитьIm gonna have to do this again with the motor in the car while laying on my back. NOT looking forward to it.
These will only ever go on so far before you hit the spring loaded throwout bearing. I always end up carefully snugging it up with bolts once I get it that far.
Why would fluid be binding the trans? That doesn't make sense to me?
ОтветитьTitle: “how not to install a T56”
ОтветитьHow did u get the trans the rest of the way?? Please help I have the same trans and I am stuck at that point where it won't go the rest of the way in
Ответитьdid you line the clutch with a clutch tool allignment
ОтветитьThe trans is strapped down to tight... Leave the strap just tight enough so the gearbox doesn't fall off. Then you can "wiggle" it home 👍
ОтветитьSweet video of installing a transmission, then totally not showing it.
ОтветитьWild question. One day I dream of building a car that runs on a 4 cylinder bushplane engine. I plane on attaching a transmission from a car to the engine propeller shaft. Obviously there’s no guide to doing that. So I gotta ask, is it absolutely necessary to attach the two together and have that “shell” from the engine to the “shell” of the transmission? Thanks
ОтветитьWhat a waste of time!!! I wanted to see how you got the last bit to go in
ОтветитьI spent a whole day trying to slide the trans into motor, but it happen the same thing, So Thanks for this short video, Tomorrow I start play with motor also and keep pushing until it works, still the trans have a 4×4 transfer, imagine the weight,, uff ,I got arthritis and the mechanics are lazy, I had to learn , it takes me weeks but it pays, Im learning" Thats the point"
ОтветитьWhat year transmission is that? Im doing a rebuild on a 2000 lq4 motor at the moment and need to find a bell housing to bolt onto it. Please let me know !
ОтветитьThis is so cool
ОтветитьMy t56 doesnt have the slave or master cylinder whatever you call it on the INSIDE the bellhouse like yours does why is that? Its out of a 94 maybe they didnt come out with that design until the newer models?
ОтветитьInstalled wrong
ОтветитьHes hitting the seal
ОтветитьWhat size bolt did you use???
ОтветитьWhat u do to actually get it to catch because im having trouble my guy
ОтветитьWas this a long crank lq4
ОтветитьSometimes, I have a hard time getting it in too.... usually after a few drinks though.
ОтветитьT56 need bell housing to install 4.8 LS or it just bolting directly on it?
Ответитьyou are weak you didnt show nothing but your lack of skill
ОтветитьHey I just got a quick question what all did you need to bolt up that T 56 to the LQ4 and what year is the LQ4 and transmission
Ответитьno likes for not showing deuces!
ОтветитьWhat is everything you need to mate a T56 to a LQ4/9? Can you just get any T56 and slap it together, or do you need an adapter kit or something? I’m new😅
ОтветитьNewbie here, how much grease do you put on spline of tranny?
ОтветитьI’ve got an ‘04 LQ9 and an ‘07 t56 m12 with the clutch and flywheel off the engine the 07 t56 was mated to.
Do I need a spacer behind the flywheel?
Do I need to swap out any bushing?
Long crank 6.0 or short crank?
What flywheel, pilot and throw out bearings. About to t56 swap to my LQ4. Tia!
Hey I'm playing that game right now!
