SYMPTOMS OF A BAD TRANSMISSION SHIFT SOLENOID

Hi everyone! Im about to work on a Volvo c30 transmission that is not engaging 1st and 3rd gears just 2nd and 4th anyone knows what could be causing the problem!? Thank you! I suspect that could be a bad solenoid what you guys think!?

So my 2012 chevy malibu ls 2.4, I drive every morning and it's good for a couple miles, all the gears shift and everything but after a little bit it'll only stay in 1st n 2nd gear???

I Have a 2007 ES350 Lexus, when first used in the morning it will slip when it goes into 4 gear, after that it runs normal for the rest of the day. can it be a solenoid?

Having this issue with my a4, the code says its the solenoid so im gonna take it in to replace the solenoid, and get a transmission fluid flush and change

So I'll have to buy a new actuator solenoid and its on the side of the transmission on the 98 ford f150 regular cab truck

Ghe problem is you wont know unless you do it yourself

Ok in my 05 trailblazer there is 2 solenoid 1-2 2-3 or 3-4 not sure but there's 2 my truck shifts 1-2 but no 3-4 , my question is is which solenoid is the bad one? How do I tell the 1-2 from the 3-4? They look exactly the same?

I have a 1990 300zx auto and my car will only go into first and second gear until I hit the overdrive button would this be a bad solenoid if the transmission is shot, I’m going to manual swap this thing

If my truck shifts fine through the gears in Drive, but when i put it in reverse it lags and jobs into reverse if the RPMS increases. Could this be cause by a solenoid??

Am using 2004 honda Accord 3.0 v6
My problem is whn i kick full acceleration rip goes high and rpm is cutting off.. not shifting to next gear .but when i drive normally all gears are shifting normal.. only in full throttle rpm is cutting and not shifting anyone knw why?

Thank you for the information. Driving home last night (any where from 40 - 70 mph) with no stops, until in town, my 2009 Chrysler Town & Country stalled. Started up in neutral, shift to Drive, and it stalled again. Kept trying, was able to get it going and found it would run/drive using manual D1, D2, etc. Works okay in reverse. No engine light though? Prior to this stalling problem I have noticed at stop lights, the engine seems to idle at higher RPM. But not all the time. Taking it to the transmission shop for professional diagnosis. Have a great Labor Day weekend!

My blazer wasn’t shifting into park I changed the shift cable and it started going into park now once in a while it goes into limp mode but I had changed the A and B sensor last year maybe I need to change the other 2 sensors

Will the OBD2 Scanner you recommended display codes for transmission issues? When I shopped Scanners for transmissions they were priced much higher. Please advise. :)

A delayed shift and a slow shift/delayed engagement are two different things. Delayed shifts will happen at Higher than normal rpms. A slow shift is like a little slippage. My 2002 Camry will shift ok at very light throttle. but under normal acceleration it may not shift until 4500 rpms when it should shift at 2300 rpms . with no error codes. ? ? ? ?

Just change the fluid, strainer, gaskets and shift solenoid.
