My favorite badly-dubbed for TV movie is The Big Hit. Their version of "monkey Fighting" is "motivator," and there's this scene where a stutterer bleeps it out over and over and over. The Faculty, with it's constant FLIP YOU! is pretty high up there, too.

If AVGN videos were censored using bleeps, the whole video would sound like a Morse-code transmission

I was watching Blazing Saddles on TV and was shocked to see a couple new scenes that weren’t in the theatrical release.

I can't find the tv edit of a child's play movie where it opens with the chucky theme while all on screen is a 🕯️ candle in darkness but i know it exists I taped it but parents 🚮the 📼 :'/

The worst I saw was Aragorn vs Lurtz being completely removed for violence. He just turns up, somehow Lurtz dies, then goes over to dying Boromir. Just think of all that hard work in training, shooting, and editing just to be deleted for TV sanitisation.
The other was I, Robot, all of Spooner’s punchlines were cut for bad language which made none of those scenes making much sense.

The Back to the Future movies were on tv constantly. Marty says "Holy JEEZ" a few times- definitely when the Delorean gets hit by the train. That was always my fave and I still say it.

Censoring films because of profanity is like going to burger king for a salad! Lol!

The best version of a censored version is in a song it’s steel panther death to all but metal I was watching the tv when it came on I don’t know if it’s intentionally or not but it’s funny

And that's why I don't want AVGN on any TV Network

The tv version of Beetlejuice cut out both nice f.cking model and the crotch honk and that's a big insult

We still get censorship, though mostly in videogames and anime.

And it's not even creative censorship of unintentionally funny, it's just boring and lame.

I watched Die Hard 2 on TV a bunch of times in the 90's and the "Mr. Falcon" line always cracked me up. Don't even get me started on Die Hard 3 with the "I HATE EVERYBODY" sign lol.

My favorite was from the TV edit for Pulp Fiction. Jules: ENGLISH, LITTLE STINKER, DO YOU SPEAK IT??????

They need to just have a sound effect based on the movie/genre
If its an action movie just have it as gun sound effects
If its horror just have it as like a waterphone or some thing lol
A comedy would be a clown horn or if its a romance comedy, a laugh track or something like that

As a kid I saw so many awesome movies because they were edited for TV - all the great 80s action movies and I loved them! Sure, now I prefer the original, but I got to see all those movies that I otherwise wouldn't have - bring back the TV edits!

Die Hard in the UK changed it to "Yippee Ki-yay Kimosabe!!". Always made me lol as a kid.

I remember the TV version of Harlem Nights, and after watching the uncensored version they had to censor A LOT of the movie

There should be a law that forces the TV channels to MARK the movie's title as what it is. Example:
"Today, 8 pm - Ghostbusters II (censored version)"

Back to School.. Robert Downey Jr falls on his back and instead of saying do me TV sensored it to "shoe me"
