Hi man. Mauro, from Brazil.
While ago I manage to make dual boot win 11 + Debian or Ubuntu
When I tried to make the same with Pop! OS it didn't allow dual boot, only Pop! OS boot, without access to Windows 11.
Would you make a video about this issue.
It would be much apreciated.

Hi. I've just compiled it on Arch Linux and what I really like are new ideas about how to make tiling even cooler :). But do you have any hints how to enable tap to click on a laptop and change keyboard mapping to some other language? I really don't want to create my own program linked with libinput, there must be some other way to do it easier? I'm aware it's an alpha, but these settings are quite important for a desktop environement.

I'm excited about the ecosystem with iced/libcosmic, applets, rust in general... But I'm worried from their dismissiveness of people's request for a gnome-like single entry (1 key to see windows, manage desktops, search apps) that I will just not be able to use it. I can't go back to inefficient silo'd workflow paradigms. I don't want multiple multi key shortcuts to switch around and manage my activities. It's really the 1 thing GNOME did flawlessly until gnome 40 regressed against the workflow for the sake of familiarity. Rant over but I can see myself contributing while not actually using it.

Cosmic is looking really nice! I was wondering if anyone knows if they will have an option for a more traditional bottom panel as well by any chance? Never could get used to a bar up top..

i really need a linux distro with an interface with all the minor stuff that i take from granted, like being able to create shortcuts to folders by dragging and dropping icons. i installed nobara and it was going well until i needed to do that (and of course a bunch of other annoying usability things started cropping up). i'm going to try pop_os next.

Cosmic looks good! I wish it well and I will keep an eye on it and even try it when it gets a little bit more stable.

It's cool, but they need to update the Pi version. It hasn't been touched for over a year, and is broken.

Linux simply Rocks, I use RichARCH btw. With it I was able to get Arch Linux up and running simply and quickly with automation features.

SavvyNik - Excellent and succinct video Hey, I bought your LINUX COMMANDS help sheet to say "Thanks" for the video you did on installing Guest Additions in Deb 11 (Used it for Deb 12). You truly are exceptionally knowledgeable. Thanks again.

I find the thought of Cosmic on a Tumbleweed base very intriguing.

I am going to wait until there's an immutable version of cosmic either from fedora or vanillaOS.

encouraging that they are on the “minor UI tweaks” stage.

This just looks so good! Cosmic was what linux was missing to truely be the best desktop operating system.

I have used i3 and sway in the past, and tiling is just so amazing for window management, but I never managed to build a rice which could replace all the built in functionality of a proper DE. Now I am back on gnome, but I'm not happy with some of the extremely odd design choices, the awful JavaScript extensions, and the lack of tiling support.

Cosmic looks excellent! It seems the like the only way they could screw it up is to include too few options on keyboard shortcuts.
I really hope they have a stable extemtion API! I'm sure anything they do will be better than gnome's js hell though.
